Great desk piece
A perfect desk piece, if that is what you are looking for. It came with instruction on how you can incoperate the hour glass to maximise work day, which I appreciated. The base for the balance was lighter than I expected but overall, I really like it.

It is a 30 minute timer not 1 hour timer.
I purchased this to use as a gift but LOVE it enough to keep! I love the timer is for 30 minute (vs.1 hr.)which is what I was looking for! The design makes it possible to 'stop' the timer by laying it on its side then resumes when stand upright again. I like the blue color sand but was worried it would leave a residue on the inside glass but that doesn't seem to be a problem! The 'Balance Physics' desk sculpture was a bonus gift because I was also looking for those kind of 'sculptures' separately so although it wasn't the design I was looking for it is still a cute addition. I was hoping for the "golfer" sculpture which I had but gave away years ago so I am searching for reasonably priced designs elsewhere. This is definitely a good buy!
