UPDATE: Apologies to Cartlee !
THIS IS AN UPDATE TO MY REVIEW FROM 2021. IT TURNS OUT THAT THE FADING PROBLEMS I WAS HAVING EARLIER WERE NOT PRIMARILY DUE TO CARTLEE ! THEY WERE DUE PRIMARILY TO THE TYPE OF PAPER I WAS USING, WHICH WAS THE STANDARD CANON GLOSSY PAPER ! THIS IS CANON'S THINNER-WEIGHT, ECONOMY GLOSSY PAPER. I SAY "PRIMARILY" BECAUSE THERE MUST BE SOME TYPE OF INTERFACE PROBLEM BETWEEN THE CARTLEE INK AND THAT PARTICULAR PAPER. MOST AMAZON REVIEWERS SEEM TO HAVE GOOD RESULTS WITH THAT PAPER. HOWEVER, WHEN I SWITCHED TO CANSON HIGH-GLOSS PAPER, WHICH IS ONE OF THE BEST OUT THERE, I EXPERIENCED EXCELLENT RESULTS WITH NO FADING AT ALL ! STRANGE SITUATION, BUT IT SEEMS THAT CARTLEE IS INDEED CAPABLE OF GOOD RESULTS WHEN USING THE RIGHT KIND OF PAPER ! THIS IS JUST SPECULATION, BUT I HAVE A FEELING THAT MY EARLIER PROBLEMS MAY HAVE BEEN DUE TO THE THINNER WEIGHT OF THE CANON PAPER (MAKING IT LESS ABSORPTIVE ?) COMBINED PERHAPS WITH THE "STRENGTH" OF CARTLEE'S INK. BUT, IF ONE USES A GOOD, NORMAL-WEIGHT PAPER, THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS, AS NOTED ABOVE. SO, APOLOGIES TO CARTLEE. I AM NOW USING CARTLEE AS MY REGULAR INK.I had initially purchased the Cartlee ink as a hoped-for alternative to the extremely expensive Canon ink. My first batch of Cartlee ink seemed to work very well. However, the second batch was a failure. For 8x10 photos, the ink can fade in a couple of weeks to as as little as a couple of days, depending on the paper used. This situation of course makes the ink unusable for photos. For simply color documents on plain paper, the situation still seems to be all right. But, to use a CanonPro-100 just for documents seems like quite a waste !Of course, one can always go back to the Canon ink. In that case, the fade period is ten years instead often days. But, for 8x10 photos, I calculated that one can only print 50 sheets per one set of ink tanks. If it gave a greater output, maybe one could live with the high cost -- which works out to over $2 per 8x10photo ($118 per standard set of 8 Canon tanks) -- just for the ink ! Then, you need to add at least$1 to $2 per photo for the paper. This is more than I want to pay, and I will continue looking for alternatives to the Canon ink. But, unfortunately, the Cartlee doesn't appear to be it.All of this makes me want to forget about printing altogether -- since I think photos look better anywayon a good monitor (greater luminosity like a projected 35mm slide).

Honest Review
Images that are printed come out a bluish tone. Other than that it's a good buy for the price of you just need to print normal black and white.

Good deal seems to print well
Seem to work very well. Good prints. The real test though is age I've had a lot of 3rd party inks fade not even in direct sunlight. So I'll update if it proves to be an issue for
