World Of Art Series National Gallery London (World of Art Library)

The book I received looked old - very old. Then I noticed that it is different from the 1989 edition pictured here. Mine was published in 1977. That's false advertisement. Regarding the book itself, my major complaint is that half of the paintings reproduced here are in black and white. I know it's exactly half because, somehow, the publisher decided that the viewers only deserve to view the paintings in color every other page. It's absurd! The last section (pp. 170-216) is a complete catalogue of the paintings in the National Gallery, which is really helpful for those who want to search those images online. All the additional images shown in this section are, no surprise here, in black and white!
