An Amazing Enclosed Red Dot Sight
It's about the same size(not footprint) as the Delta Point Pro so if you're used to that, this will be similar, they're both big optic blocks. This optic has an insanely low deck height. It has perfect co-witness with a FN 509. I have astigmatism and the 3.3MOA dot is very clear. Glass is high quality with no noticeable distortion. Optional auto-shutoff. It's nice to not have to worry about cleaning the emitter which can get fogged up, dirty and oily in a very hard to reach place which will cause an almost permanent blurry, linty, red dot. This fixes that issue completely. Rugged housing, nice tactile feedback on the MOA adjust and good brightness buttons. Works great with a Docter optic cut slide using the included mounting plate.A couple cons would be the overall size, no shakewake and thus needed to more frequency replace the battery.I didn't want to wait for the Acro P-2 and this satisfies that enclosed emitter itch, and as far I know this has a much more open, wider window. I'm not huge on Chinese made Holosun optics, so I can't comment on those as I don't buy them. It's unfortunate that this has an optional auto off and not any shake wake tech but that's about the only con for me. It is still working great after many, many rounds.Highly recommend!

Great RDS.
I have an RMR and a few other pistol red dot sights, this was my first MPS and I’m really enjoying it. The closed emitter is definitely a huge benefit. The style of the MPS in my opinion is awesome looking, cooler than the Acro but also probably just as durable. The glass is very crisp, and the dot is nice too, it does not have that burst effect. I would compare the clarity and crispness of the glass to an Aimpoint T2.A lot of peoples negatives reviews are based off mounting issues, just make sure you get the correct plate and install with blue loctite and an inch lb torque wrench to manufacturer specifications and you will be fine. I have my MPS on a Forward Controls Acro footprint plate on a Walther PDP and it has been awesome to shoot. The plate to slide was 12-15 in lbs, and the RDS to plate was about 17-20 in lbs, again using loctite on both sets of screws. I definitely would recommend this rds especially since the Acro is sold out most of the time, it is definitely a great alternative option.

Optical
This is everything plus more! I watched a YouTube video about this optical! Great quality! Can make it bright when outdoors or dimmer when inside. Perfect fit for what I needed it for!

Great
One of two authorized units for my issued weapon and I have no regrets.

Fantastic optic
The Steiner MPS might be my favorite microdot. I put it on a JP5, and the glass is super clear, the dot is crisp, and the brightness adjustments are awesome. It is WAY smaller than it looks and is perfect for a pistol, or an AR (what I used it on). There are complaints about not having an auto on/off…. But the battery lasts almost 2 years, can be replaced from the top (unlike most), it’s smaller without that tech, and there’s no reason to have another failure point by having an auto-off fail, and the dot die.

Broke after 180rds
I really wanted to like the MPS, but I can't recommend it until Steiner fixes their mounting system. I took my MPS to the range for the first time today. It was attached to my CZ P-01 which is direct-milled with an ACRO footprint. I have an ACRO P2 which I've used on the CZ for approximately 1000rds with no issues. After firing 180rds with the MPS installed, the screw used to mount the MPS sheared off and it was launched directly at my face at a high rate of speed. Thankfully I was wearing safety glasses because the slide hit me straight in the nose and crown of my left eye. The glasses took the brunt of the impact, but I was left with a bruise on my forehead and a lasting headache. If you compare the MPS to the ACRO P2, you'll notice that the P2 has two big advantages to the way it mounts. The first is that the recoil lug on the ACRO stretches all the way across the body of the optic. It is an integral part of the body of the optic while the MPS' lug is only a small post in the center of the base. The second advantage is that the clamping plate on the ACRO has two additional reinforcing lugs that sit on either side of the interface with the main recoil lug. This provides additional strength to prevent the screw shearing exactly like it did on my MPS.I might trust an MPS on an AR15 or other rifle/pistol with a light recoil impulse, but there are some potentially serious issues that I discovered the hard way today. I wouldn't recommend using one of these on a pistol with a reciprocating slide until Steiner makes the mounting interface stronger.

Solid optic, turn off when not in use, use right plate w/ p320
Was looking forward to moving into the enclosed emitter world and am pretty satisfied it was with Steiner. I run it on a p320 compact and have used two plates and would recommend going with the forward controls acro plate over chpws garbage, the latter had an air gap wider than the grand canyon and I made sure both surfaces were clean of any left over loctire. The fcd had no tolerance issues and is running the mps strong after 1500 rounds.Next, although it would have been nice to have a motion on and off you can switch the newer models to manual mode. I recommend if you have aupeessor sights you turn it off at night then switch it on the next day, you should be in a habit making sure your gear is good to go on a daily basis anyways. If you do leave it on manual without turning it off the battery does drain considerably faster, make sure you are running Energizer lithium batteries too.Other than that, if you get these on sale (think ~320) it's an absolute bargain with a name and warranty that honors it's product and customer satisfaction.
