Sturdy & Weatherproof!!!
I bought this for my ducks. I have it outside of the coop in the weather, sitting on top of a block for height. I saw previous reviews about the holes in the back for the screws causing leaks, so my intention was to put duct tape over the holes as soon as I opened the box. To my surprise, there were seals included to go over the holes! I placed them over the holes, took the feeder outside, filled it up and haven't had an issue. I received this feeder on Friday, June 16th. It is Wednesday, June 28th. We have had multiple thunderstorms, hail, straighline winds...the works! My feeder has not leaked, and the top has not come off. I highly recommend this feeder, especially for ducks or even geese who need more room to get their heads in the tubing.

Great product! Would buy again!! Customer service is outstanding !
Product arrived in perfect condition and quickly. Product is well made and after installing the feeder my chickens found it and they began using it within a few hours. No more wasted feed all over the ground !!

Check to make sure feed is going down.
Well, I do like that I can just top this off once a week. However, we bought this so we could go away occasionally, and our volunteer helpers would have a bare minimum of tasks to perform when they stopped by in our absence. Not certain that will be the case because the feed tends to not go down. I either stick my hands in the ports, open the lid and work a hand down the middle, or take it off its stand and tap it on the ground. Sometimes it takes two or all three of these to free up the feed - I must just be lucky. Other wise I think it's a good design, albeit expensive for what it is. Still, I'd rather give my money to an American business. I'm new to raising chickens so I don't have any experience with the treadle feeders others mention. I passed on those because my coop tends to get a little moisture sometimes and I worried that in freezing weather the works might freeze up in one of those. So far the ports and lid have worked to keep my feed dry.

Works as advertised!! Best feeder EVER
I've never written a product review before, but I just HAD to come mention how much I love this thing! I have had it sitting on a cinder block in the corner of my chicken run for a few weeks now. No longer is feed being flung everywhere!!!! I've noticed zero spill. They took to it immediately and as far as taking turns, I notice they all just kind of rotate through throughout the day. Even my hen who's lowest in the pecking order has had no trouble getting a turn. I have 7 hens and might purchase just one more feeder so more can eat at one time but that's probably just overkill on my part. They are spoiled. With not mounting it, I was initially worried about the little holes in the back being against the outside of the covered run but so far no rain has gotten inside, not even during the monsoon we had last night! Another reviewer had mentioned that they had put gorilla tape over the holes so I might just do that to be extra safe. With this new feeder I can tell I'll be saving a lot of money on feed! I've only had to refill it once during the three weeks I've had it. It's very easy to refill and so far I see no reason to weigh down the lid as some have mentioned.I highly recommend this feeder.

You can’t have just one!
The media could not be loaded. I needed TWO for my flock of nine white leghorns so I had to come back and buy a second one without complaint. Now I can empty a fifty pound bag in the two of them.Important tip: if you don’t use the mounting holes and you just place it on a cinderblock like me? Stick some duct tape over those holes so no water gets in.This video is literally the first day with this thing and it’s cute AF but it’s a better demonstration of how royally stupid and spoiled my super sweet adorable flock is. I had to put little bits of food in the tube there to give them a better clue but chickens will find the food there don’t let my dumb birds dissuade you from this fantastic ingenious feeder. They love it and love burying their heads into there and munching all morning and afternoon. And they love how fresh and clean the food is kept! And also this is before I got the second one so they were crowded etc. but I think it’s cute and how come no one else has posted video yet!!The design is deceptively brilliant. It’s simplicity is ingenious. I love it. And the people in the office are outstanding. Personal email replies with my dumb questions (I am a first time back yard chicken farmer). They absolutely cater to dumb lonely yuppies without a clue! 😬

Loved it until it rusted
This thing was amazing for feeding the chickens, but after a few months I noticed it began rusting

Simple and effective - huge time-saver
We've had this for about 3 months now, if I had known how much time, effort, and chicken feed this was going to save, I would have bought it long ago. It is true that it is a very simple device and you could build your own, but this works right out of the box. We haven't had any issues with feed getting wet.The only modifications I made were to tape over the mounting holes with duct tape - which matches perfectly - and to place the sticker side against the wall so the chickens can't see it. Otherwise they peck at it.

No waste!
This feeder allows very little waste, especially owning ducks who are extremely messy. This is the best feeder I’ve ever had for no waste of seeds.

Best Feeder I’ve Found
It must be placed high on blocks to work properly or the birds can still spill grain like crazy. But if put up high it works quite well. Mine is 12” off the ground. There may be better feeders out there but for my little enclosure this is the easiest and best feeder I have found and I have tried quite a few different types. Very, very little grain ends up on the floor.
