Drift Sock
I use a 14 ft aluminum boat with a 15 hp outboard motor. Without the drift sock my trolling speed is about 1.5 mph. For pickerel fishing, the desired speed is below 1 mph. I tried both the 24 and 30 inch socks and the 30 inch got me down to 1.15 mph. Using both socks, I finally got down to 1 mph.

Terrific drift anchor for high winds.
I have a fifty merc that trolls at 4-5mph and I use this over the side of my boat to slow my troll to 2- 21/2mph to make it eazier for the fish to catch the troll and less weight on the rod. Works great. Make sure you remember to pull it in before you take off. Also put a small float on it on the end about a ft behind it in case it detaches from the boat. they sink otherwise. -- i know this - lost one already. the two foot one is o.k. for 16ft boats.

Arrived well packaged, reasonable price
Hubby used it for the first time today. No problems with it, done what it was suppose to do. Only 3 stars because haven't had a chance to see how it works after an extended period of time.
