Wire Lamp Shade Rings with European Fitter (16” Diameter), Includes 2 Galvanized Steel Silver Drum Rings, Make DIY Table/Floor/Pendant Lamps, Compatible with most IKEA & Target Lamps

I needed to replace a shallow, wide drum shade on a swing arm floor lamp and couldn't find a decently-priced one with a euro fitter anywhere. With these rings, about $20 of fabric, styrene and glue — and the handy directional video the company has online — I made a gorgeous custom lampshade in a couple hours. I was so inspired I made a second coordinating shade for a table lamp. The construction seemed fine to me, nice and sturdy, although I did cover the fitter and attaching wires with ribbon to be extra fancy.

I have a dark area that needed light. It's next to my treadmill in the corner. There's no space for a torcheir lamp or table lamp. So I bought a clamp lamp to clip on to the pipes in the corner. The clamp lamp looked ugly. So I jazzed it up by ordering this lamp ring and a clip on attachment for the bulb, and I hot glued crystal strings onto the ring. Now I'm happy.

This a super-rewarding project! I was having a hard time finding a shade to fit a very peculiar lamp with 2 bulbs. This was great--I found super fun fabric and the shade looks great. I have only two comments: one, if you need a shade with an inside drop of more than 1/2 an inch, this isn't great. It works but the shade hangs a little low. Also, this is not a quick, one-hour project. It's not hard but you do need a little patience and need to glue the fabric to the ring in sections, waiting for the glue to dry in between applications. You should have some clothes pins on hand. Other than that, it's great and I will never spend gobs of money on pre-made lampshades again!!

They don’t line up right. One is a little lopsided and joints where it was welded together have burnt spots. Would look better with ribbon around it but I didn’t want that look. I have it hanging from ceiling so they aren’t visible but if it’s going on a table I would recommend wrapping the joints with ribbon.

May work for someone else...I asled for 15 inch rings, since that is what the IKEA product called for. They were too big. Plus you could CLEARLY see where the rings were welded together. Goldish, then a bronze color like random wires were found and put together *smh*

What a find! Rings are exactly as described, good quality and solid. Could I have over imagined my ability with the biggest size for my 1st project? Not with the great tutorials and friendly communication with the I Like This Lamp folks. Perfect source for lamp creation supplies🤗.

These lamp shade rings are going to enable me to replace the (not original, awful looking) lampshades for some vintage Marbro lamps that I have. These lamps are quite tall and it seems that current lamp shade fashion is for relatively short shades. I am not in the right tax bracket to order custom shades - so this way I can just make this happen (and then I don't have to hear complaints about the "ugly lamps" because the shades don't work adequately. I haven't completed my project but these lamp shade rings are precisely what I need. Construction on them looks fine, and the delivery was very timely.
