Updating 4/8/17: My parents-in-law absolutely love these cups. They've been using them nearly daily since Christmas and they're constantly raving about them. Today they asked me where I got them because they want more. So I came to buy them another set. I don't know if they're treating them more gently than they would normal cups, but if they are treating them extra special and with extra care, they obviously feel it's worth it.I just received these mugs and they are really beautiful. There is conflicting information on the packaging about their durability, however. The outside of the package says, "Crafting from strong borosilicate makes these glasses thinner, lighter, capable of withstanding thermal shock, scratch and break resistant, as well as dishwasher, microwave and freezer safe." That all sounded perfect as I had purchased these as a gift for my elderly parents-in-law and didn't want them to have to worry about them being too delicate. However, when you open the box and look at the inside flap, it seems to contradict the outside information: "Take care when using ice cubes, we suggest pouring your desired liquid prior to adding ice. Avoid using metal utensils... Be gentle with these cups as the glass is thinner than a traditional cup which makes them more fragile." I fear this warning will dissuade them from using them with their daily tea (especially due to the "no metal utensils" warning), which was the purpose of my gift. How durable they are in practice remains to be seen. However, I may never truly get that answer because they may put them on a shelf and rarely touch them if they think they are too fragile.

The packaging was excellent and protected them from breakage. So far, I really like njoy drinking out of these mugs!! Elegance, cool to the touch and doesn’t sweat!!!

Update: After just a few weeks of use and Since the one got water in it while in the dishwasher I've only hand washed them and now the 2nd one has water in it. And every time I wash it it gets more and more water in it. Unfortunately I have now just thrown them in the trash because they look disgusting with water floating around inside. Hopefully it isn't common but if it is I would purchase something else.Great looking, real glass, double walled keeps coffee hot and not hands. These are beautiful glasses. Only problem is one of mine got water in between the walls while in the dish washer. They work fine still, you can just see the moisture in it.

Got these after breaking a glass mug. These do the job, they're easy to hold, and the double-wall keeps them from being hot to the touch on the outside. Plus they're quite durable. They also work well with the loose-tea baskets that I already had and used with the previous glass mugs, which was very important to me for brewing and steeping loose tea (mostly what I use these for in the afternoon. This would have been 5-stars, but...The bottom of each mug has a cut mark from where the glass was blown and cut, so no effort was made on these to smooth out the spot on the surface other than make sure the glass would rest properly on a flat surface.UPDATE: I've had these for about 10 months now. Within the first 6 months, we began noticing that condensation builds inside the inner and outer wall of the double-layer. It doesn't impact the tea or flavor, but even long after they've been used, cleaned and set on a shelf in a dry place, the condensation remains. So when you order and receive these, keep in mind that condensation will likely build up because of the 2-layer construction. Also, the glass becomes very hot to touch accidentally if you grab the sides rather than the handle. So while this may be termed as a "double-wall", it's not airtight enough that condensation won't seep through. In the future, I might spend the extra money for a Bodum, but these are fine in a pinch.UPDATE #2: Finally tired of the condensation problem with these. I changed my rating from 3 to 1 because I cannot recommend them with the way they create condensation between the layers. Now thrown them out. You might be satisfied with them if you can overlook seeing as much liquid between the layers as you can in the cup, but they're now more expensive than the price I paid, and I was on the fence based on the old pricing. Spend the extra money for a Bodum that will likely last much longer without that issue.

Update July 6, 2020This is an update revising 2 star with 4. Now that the seller heard me of my warranty claim and sent me the replacements which I received last Friday, I am revising their ratings. The mugs are indeed great, just be gentle on handling and I hope the seller will be prompt in respecting the warranty.June 23, 2020They are nice mugs to keep your coffee warm as well as to enjoy the layers of espresso and froth on my favorite cappuccino and latte. The mug keeps it warm, a little delicate as they are not heavy, so you have to be extra careful on handling them. All well for 5 months then suddenly one broke inside the dishwasher. So, lesson learned but too late. However, they have the limited lifetime warranty, so I wrote to them. They quickly replied and asked to send few information, mailing address, and the photo, which I sent them promptly. That is it. It is now over one month since I provided all the info, there is a radio silence from their side. I wrote a follow-up, still no news. Then, I resubmitted the warranty claim, and it was the repeat of the episode, they asked to send the info, address, and photo. Again, I sent them all, and that is it. So, don’t trust on their warranty. As long as you handle with care, these are good to use.

We bought these to use for a holiday party and served mulled wine. They were perfect and now they're my favorite coffee mugs. Perfect for Nespresso drinks. Pretty and the handle is cool to touch.

The mugs are pretty well-made and insulate very well. They're also perfectly big enough that its not too much of anything when I pour whatever. Everything about the mugs is pretty nice. Lightweight, spacious, insulation, easy to hold, etc. I don't know much about their durability yet as I've only had them for about a week now, if they do end up breaking, I'll make sure to update the review, but so far I've been taking good care of them and haven't done anything outrageous with them. They seem to be keeping up fine so it looks like as long as you don't be rough with them, they won't break easily.

These mugs are now my favorite mugs in the house, i love themI haven’t tried drinking anything cold in them as it is still winter, however the double glazing is amazing.I microwaved a hot-chocolate, expecting the mug to be extremely hot, as they usually are. But no! The mug was room temperature to touch, and the hot choloate was very hot.I love the fact that is so lightweight, and im always staring at it. your drinks look nicer in it.It even came with a warranty! Overall very pleased with the mugs, they are well worth their price.I love the fact the cup doesn't get hot and you can hold it easily, even when it has hot water in it.Be aware that your tea will stay hot longer and you might burn yourself if you forget that it will probably still be hot!
