It’s the best thing ever!!!
I have to say thank you to the inventors of this grip aid. I’m an artist, but I have pretty bad arthritis in my hands and have trouble grasping things especially if I need to use them for a while. The amazing design allows me to use this with every size paint brush all pens and even my Apple Pencil. Not only can I grip thing but it also gives me great control over what I’m using. And my hands are pain free. I highly recommend and will be ordering another for myself.

Holds pen well, heavy, squishy, but pricey
I have arthritis in my thumb joint so writing w/a fat pen helps. No device has been perfect, but this is one that helps, if alternated w/other different-sized devices (smaller egg-shaped styrofoam; molded silicone). This one is bigger, but it's also heavier, which means that I don't have to press as hard to write. When you use a gel pen along w/it, you hardly have to press down to write. That's a big help. The pen can shift around in the slot, which is good for changing the angle of writing, to give muscles a rest. I think the price is ridiculous, though--$13 for a lump of silicone. I lost the 1st one I ordered so had to order another--after a long search online for something cheaper--but no luck.

Works well for larger hands
I like the feel of this grip aid. The only thing is that my hands are a little small for this item. It works well for my husband who will use it as well.

Well made. Diameter too large for my small hands for writing.
I love how this is made, especially the way the openings can hold pens and utensils of varying sizes. Sadly, the diameter is too big for my small hands that just need something to help me write better with my arthritic thumbs.

He’s a good egg 🥚
I love this little egg. I have one in my craft room and carry one in my fanny pack. I have Ehlers Danlos syndrome and my fingers are very hypermobile. Like most people with hypermobile hands, using a regular pen is painful. Because our joints are unstable, we tend to hold on to the utensil too tightly. Then our hands become painful. See pic of me holding a regular pen. My first finger joint just collapses in. (If you’re fingers do this, check out Ehlers Danlos syndrome, hypermobile type. hEDS) It did take me a little while to get used to this egg, but once I did, I loved it.

Too large.
Difficult to hold between fingers because of larger than expected size. Price could have been sixty percent lower. Returning item for a refund.

Helpful Despite Size
I have radial tunnel, which weakens my grip and makes holding/controlling small objects like pens and pencils painful. After reading lots of the reviews, I decided to give this a try, even though I have small hands. There's definitely a part of it that's thinner, and when I have it in just the right spot, it's a good size. I have a lot less trouble with this aid. I do wish there was a smaller version, but I have yet to find something better than this. It's also a fun texture and makes a good object for fiddling or grounding. Definitely recommend.
