P.R. Pulp Riot Semi-Permanent Hair Color 4oz- Cupid

First things first, I have always used splat brand and manic panic since I was a teenager, I always make a mess even if I’m careful. Always get color all over my forehead and neck and it stains for days!! This brand however was amazing!! I made a mess how I usually do and it came right off!! I didn’t need to shampoo or condition my hair after using this, it really was a rinse with water until the water is clear! And my hair is so so soft now! I didn’t use any soap at all to get it off my face, hair, or neck and there is no trace of it anywhere but the hair, it didn’t even stain my scalp and I was crazy liberal with this dye! Usually with splat and other brands, your hands get stained when you wash it out and there is zero color on my hands or under my nails! Unbelievably impressed with this dye!! Now for the color, I was a little skeptical at first because I ordered the pink color called Cupid and the hair dye was purple. But I figured screw it, purple is cute too. As the dye stayed in, it shifted color to a pinkish purple and I was still skeptical until I got out of the shower and saw the finished color! Amazingly true to the box picture and exactly what I wanted! I will definitely be switching to this brand permanently! Photo is with hair still wet!

This is an amazing product, don't be fooled by color swatches, I refuse to use any other products. So I have natural black hair, but I've been doing foils of "cool light" so for best results and I get 8 plus weeks and I'm stopped everyday atleast 50 plus time's asking me for this information I will share. So back of head is natural color and I use this to make any gray hair covered an add a pop of contrast. We foil bleach my crown to front and sides some, we then wash it out and either wait a day or 2 or blow dry and foil in chunks of this, and do not wash with anything ONLY RINSE WITH COLDEST WATER, USE SOME "chi" ON IT AN WAIT FOR ATLEAST 3 TO 5 DAYS OR MORE IF YOU CAN,I WAIT 7 DAY'S, BUT I WILL ATTACH A FEW PICTURES. IT'S A DARKER HOT HOT PINK BCUZ THE PASTELS ARE BASICALLY NOT WORTH IT, AN IT HAS MAYBE 3 WEEKS DEPENDING ON HOW MUCH YOU WASH IT. I WASH 1 TIME A WEEK UNLESS I GO TO BEACH, I'M IN FLORIDA AND SUN,CHLORINATED WATERS WILL KILL ANY COLORS AS WILL THE PURPLE SHAMPOOS! YOU CAN COLD RINSE OUT HAIR SPRAYS/PRODUCTS. IF YOU DO WHOLE HEAD COLORS DEFINITELY USE "CHI" IT'S EXPENSIVE BUT IF U BLEACH OR USE COLORS YOU'LL BE AMAZED BY HOW SOFT AND NO FRIZZY ENDS ECT ESP THE FLAT IRONS OR ANY HOT IRONS! AGAIN I WILL POST FRESHLY DONE 7 DAY'S IN TO 5 WEEKS WITH STARTING THE PRODUCT AND WASHING 3 TIMES A WEEK PANTENE SMOOTH FRIZZY FREE IT SAYS 48 HOUR'S BUT I ALSO USE THE CHI AND AGAIN I'M IN FLORIDA AND 6 MILES FROM OCEAN AN LOTS OF HUMIDITY. BC AGAIN THE NON PASTELS, USE DARKER COLORS EVEN TO JUST COVER UR GRAYS YOU WILL LOVE IT..BUT FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS ON WASHING IT AN BLOW DRY OR WAIT TIL DRY AND NO CONDITIONERS AT ALL, AN THEN HAVE SOMEONE/HAIR DRESSER HELP ESP IF YOU'RE TARGETING CERTAIN PLACES TO USE FOILS OR IF EVERY INCH OF SCALP TO ENDS FOR GRAY COVERING, AN IF YOU'RE BLEACH BEFORE THEN LEAVE YOUR FOILS OR COLORS FOR UP TO 45 MINUTES ATLEAST OR MORE, I WAIT TIL MY FOILS ARE HARD AS ROCK DRY AN HERE'S FINALLY THE END AN ALSO EXTREMELY IMPORTANT, " DON'T USE HEAT TO DRY, BUT THE BEST THING ABOUT PULP RIOT AN FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS OR NOT WITH THE USING SHAMPOO, (THIS BRAND DOES NOT BLEED OUT ANY EVEN WITH BLEACHING, IT STAYS ON WHERE IT'S PUT) SO FYI IF IT BLEEDS ON OTHER HAIR THEN SOMETHING IS WRONG BC YOULL SEE MY PICTURES AND REMEMBER YOU ONLY WASH WITH SHAMPOO AND ABSOLUTELY NO CONDITIONERS, THEN COLORS AN COLDEST WATER ONLY TO RINSE EXTRA OFF AN THEN ADD "CHI " ESP IF U FLAT IRON, BLOW DRY ECT, AN DO NOT WASH FOR ATLEAST 5 DAY'S BC U CAN COLD RINSE HAIR SPRAY OUT AN THEN YOU CAN ADD A TINY BIT TO ENDS!

It costs more than the others, but even dark hair gets covered with a beautiful, exciting pink shade. It stayed strong for three washings, too, and it lightened to an even prettier pink.

Edit: purchased a 3rd time hoping the 2nd experience was just a fluke. NOPE! Cupid pink came out purple AGAIN! Completely wasted 30$ on dyes i cant even use Purchased twice. First time was perfect! Vibrant color and lasted forever! Purchased again a couple years later, and even though it was all labeled as pink, it came out PURPLE! Highly disappointing!

I loved this color, its creamy and easy to use and apply, its creamy, easy to control and no mess was made, its ready to used no need for developer, its amonia free, it actually left my hair feeling soft, it felt conditioning, also it didn't stain my towel and looks great!
