Great condiment
Spicy but not too hot flavor improver. I think its appropriate for both Mexican and Chinese food and anyplace you want some garlicky spiciness. I love it on sourdough toast and while it's a great on its own pairing it with some hard boiled eggs make a flavorful breakfast.

I have bought this before. The flavor is awesome! Love to put it with rotisserie chicken, veggies and rice for a quick meal. Love!

Delicious marinade for shrimp
Love the Chili Garlic sauce! It is hot like Siracha. Use it to marinate shrimp prior to cooking. Yum!!

A staple in any kitchen that likes spicy food.
Let me tell you how sad we are in my house. When my sister moved she of course donated what was in her fridge to us. There was a jar (almost gone might I add. I did wonder why she didn't just toss it out but now I know) of this that literally sat in my ice box door for four months. About four months ago in Amazon Pantry I accidentally ordered some Huy Fong Sriracha sauce and we cannot get enough of that (just ordered three more bottles; I reviewed a few months back). If you notice the lid is a very distinctive green. Anyway to keep my narrative going; my boyfriend and I are re-watching previously aired episodes (aka reruns) of cooking shows (Chopped, Top Chef, Next Food Network Star [as of season 9 that, bleep, needs to be cancelled but I digress). And I notice the green spout of the sriracha a LOT; you know they try to hide product brands if the product hasn't paid. Yeah good luck when we love something. Of course we picked up on it. About two weeks ago I'm watching one of the shows and see a jar shaped like this with that green lid and the penny fell. Oh good grief I have some of that in my icebox. My boyfriend was cooking something that needed a bit more kick so I asked him to check out the jar in the ice box door. He tasted it before adding to dish and actually moaned. Brought me a taste my eyes rolled back in my head in delight. Needless to say the last bit went in the dish and I immediately came on Amazon looking for more. Now this is NOT sriracha. In fact that isn't even one of the ingredients. But the red pepper the garlic oh my. We use it as a marinade, in breakfast burritos, beans, casseroles, you name it. We love spicy food (I'm Cajun and boyfriend is along for the spicy ride) so we don't use just this, there is always cayenne pepper, spicy Rotel and the sriracha. I love the garlic in this I can't believe I can actually taste it. You know usually when it's mixed into something store bought you can't. You open it and you can smell both the peppers and the garlic. Again we are serious spicy folks so this jar is already 1/2 gone so I will be ordering again by this weekend. I just threw a big ole tablespoon into the pot of Louisiana Camellia beans I put on the stove. Basically you cannot go wrong with Huy Fong in my opinion.

Great tasting, Not at all like Sriracha and that's good!
As with all Huy Fong products this is delicious, it has a somewhat thick consistency (think Picante, not Salsa) and has pieces (very tiny pieces) of pepper and garlic in it which is nice. I don't want to compare this with the Huy Fong Srircha apart from saying they have about the same level of heat. The taste of this product is unique in it own right and while I've heard some people say it's too garlicy I've never found that to be the case (disclaimer: I love garlic). The flavor profile and heat level of all Huy Fong Foods Inc. products change from batch to batch because the peppers are fresh from the local farm (6 hours from picking until they are turned into your favorite sauce) and no two pepper batches are ever going to be the same. That being said I've been consuming their products for years and actually enjoy the unique taste from batch to batch. I'm not a so-called "chili head" but I do enjoy spicy foods (about as hot as I go is Habanero peppers). I find all the pepper products made by Hoy Fong Foods Inc to be spicy but not especially hot. I can say if you've never tried any of their products that if you find Tobasco or other similar products fairly hot, this will be extremely hot for you. The flavor of this sauce is unique and extremely tasty with the right amount of heat and flavor to make anything you put it on taste good. That said, Hoy Fong Sriracha is a far better condiment and you can almost literally put that on anything in place of your usual condiment. This while good on stuff comes closer to a secret ingredient you're going to use to kick up your marinade or whatever a few notches.

My Favorite Garlic Chile Paste.
This is absolutely my favorite Garlic Chile Paste. I am not able to find this brand locally as I live in a rural area. It has been my favorite since I first used it 30 years ago. I love the lbalance of the vinegar and the chile. A little goes a long way.
