RADIANT 2XL PRO 160 SMD LED Studio Light Kit Dimmable Rechargeable CRI95+ for Camcorder DSL Camera Video Tripod with 2 Li-Ion Batteries Charger and Case

So I am a professional photographer that has been moving into video more and more. I started down the LED light path with a small on camera LED and quickly found out that they are just not bright enough for any practical use. From there I purchased 1’x1’ led panel which gives the light output that I needed, but they require a light stand so they are not very portable. So along comes the Radiant 2XL Pro and it fits right in the middle of my other lights. It is about as large as I want to go mounting on my DSLR, but provides quite a bit more light than the little cheapo LED I started with. But because the Radiant is smaller than the 1x1 I end up putting it in my camera bag and end using it more often. It works well as a fill light in the hot shoe of my dslr when doing video as well as a hair light with my bigger LED panel when doing an interview taping.But I must say I have been having fun using it hand held to match the subtle lights around the house during the holidays. Let me explain, if I use my camera flash the flash will overpower the holiday lights/Christmas tree lights and really wreck the mood. But by using the Radiant 2XL I can dial in the right amount of light (WYSIWYG) and change the color temperature to match the older warm color string lights or the new cooler temp LED string lights. Super simple with amazing results – see attached photoI like the case all the bits come in, it’s easy to store everything in one place and grab it when you need it. The dual battery charger is nice that I can charge both batteries at once, it’s a big time saver. And the battery mount is a common Sony mount so there are tons of aftermarket options for more batteries. It comes with two diffusers, but one of them is clear which I think maybe for protection of the LED when not in use. I always use the frosted diffuser as I like the softer look it gives.All photos were taken with one Radiant LED light.So all in all the Radiant 2XL Pro is a great addition to my LED arsenal that I’ll use more and more as time goes on.P.S. I mounted this on a little flexible tripod that I had laying around and used it as a work light while I was under my kitchen sink putting in a new garbage disposal. Another use of this super bright light!

The media could not be loaded.  I purchased the Radiant 2XL because the build quality and specifications looked good. When the unit arrived i was very pleasantly surprised. The aluminum body was more robust than expected. The die-cut dense foam of the inner case held the light and all accessories very securely. Now I needed to actually put the light to use. I had a video shoot for a product client and decided to use this light as my main light for the close up shots. This light was very impressive. The ability to adjust my color temperature to achieve the "feel" of the lighting situation was very appreciated. The high CRI of the LEDs produced excellent color rendition especially the skin tones achieved for this shoot. The SMD LEDs give a very nice wide spread to the light. The diffusion panel works well to "soften" the quality of the light and locks in with positive catches on both top and bottom of the face of the light. I look forward to see if the company will offer some accessories like barn doors in the future. They would be a great modifier for this light. Battery life with supplied batteries was more than adequate for duration of my shoot. I expect to purchase several more of these to become my go to lights for location work as well, especially for interview or " talking head shots" when AC power is not available. A great value for both professional and advanced amateur use. I highly recommend these lights for product, ENG, and wedding shooters.

I bought this product about three years ago, after looking for a relatively inexpensive portable continuous light source. I used very sparingly until recently, and it worked great. It generated a fair amount of light for its size, and I appreciated the ability to control the temperature of the light.However…With the pandemic, and being stuck indoors, I began to use it a lot more frequently (for macro work). During one session, the light suddenly shut off, and I assumed that the batteries needed to be recharged. However, either the batteries don't charge anymore, or the battery charger doesn't work. In any event, when I attempt to charge the batteries, the light on the charger blinks red once and then goes out. Unless I can diagnose the problem and find a fix for it, the product is no longer of use. It's a shame, because it worked well when it worked. But honestly, given the very limited amount of usage (despite owning it for 3 years), it should not have broken.

I wanted a light with enough power to illuminate sitters when doing portraits, and having read the reviews, bought this. It is very well made, and comes in well-padded carrying case - the batteries and charger are so snug that they are a bit difficult to get out (I solved this by putting a loop of string under them - real high-tech!). The output from the light is sufficient for portraits. To soften the light, I use a 42 inch white umbrella, positioned about 4 feet from the sitter, which produces a very soft light. I also use it outdoors to brighten up the shadows. The ability to very the color temperature is a bonus, although there is loss of power at either end of the spectrum. I may well buy another one, as it has proven to be a very useful piece of kit.

I haven't used it yet, but looks like a nice item.

There is no way to power this externally. Batteries are the only option.
