August EP750 Active Noise Cancelling Headset Bluetooth Over-Ear Stereo Headphones with Microphone and aPTX

I've had the August EP650 for 3 years and loved them. I used these daily while working and they have been super comfortable, with great sound and a very long battery life. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the somewhat awkward button setup, but it wasn't a dealbreaker. As a side note, during this time I also received Beats Solo and in-ear headphones free with the purchase of some Macs, but I still preferred my August headphones. Anyway, this week they unexpectedly cracked on the headband so it was time to get some new ones. After researching dozens of new headphones, I decided to go with what I already had, but upgraded to the EP750 for the active noise cancelling.So far I love them! They are just as comfortable to wear as the EP650. The ANC works awesome in filtering out distracting sounds, like someone on a phone call. Also good news for me was the updated button layout which is on the front and back of the earpiece instead of the outside, making it easier to adjust volume. (I like the simpler layout, and the fact that you're not pressing the earpiece into your head to adjust volume.) I kind of miss the individual forward/back buttons for skipping tracks, but I much prefer the new placement and pressing twice to skip ahead is easy to get accustomed to. At any rate, these are great! I highly recommend.

Like another recent poster - I too had the August EP650 for 2 years and loved them. Bullet-proof they were - even taking me landing on my head once and still worked great! Eventually they started fritzing out, so thought I'd go the next model up. Looked like the same comfortable ear pad setup and I really wanted the noise cancel option. NOT too impressed... First - volume - can't ever seem to get these to produce the sound that the EP650 did. Noise canceling - eh... OK, but not stellar. I ride a bus with lots of road noise and AC / heater noise - cuts that by maybe 50%. I'm not expecting Bose quality - but thought that feature would be a little better. And finally my biggest problem - besides not digging the button layout on the EP750 - charging. I swear if you don't have the plug-in just right - this thing does not charge. I noticed that problem within the first month. I'm long into owning these - my advice - do the EP650 if you want loud and don't need noise cancelling. If you want noise cancelling - look elsewhere.

Pretty good for the price.. The NFC is awkwardly positioned..and I wish there were more buttons for reverse and fast forward..Sometimes the volume is lowered or increased when trying to reverse or fast forward. I love walking with the headphones..but find sometimes, that the wind beating against the sides of the headphones can to an extent diminish the volume of the music, and in this case the noise canceling in bluetooth move does not help at all..I love the ability to use the mic, reverse and fast forward buttons on the 3.5mm adapter..which saves battery power and still allows me to answer the phone ( this was not available in the old model). Overall really great headphones for the price..

These are good headphones. I got the [ASIN:B01N1T2MV5 August EP750 Active Noise Cancelling Wireless Bluetooth Over-ear Stereo Headphones with Microphone and Volume Control - aPTX/Black - Reduce Air Travel Engine Noise], however, I can still hear my TV in the background while using the headphones. It is really comfortable for long uses. Sound quality is okay. The bass and high could be better. The sound isn't as crisp as the BOSE quiet-comfort which also has noise cancelling that are definitely "noise cancelling". I wouldn't pay for the noise cancelling feature if that's what you're looking for. Nonetheless, these are definitely good headphones for the $50 range.

I've been using these headphones for about 8 months to listen to lectures mostly. For the money I'm super happy with them. They sound good and reasonably cancel sound. The case they come with is great. My biggest complaint is that they become uncomfortable after more than a few hours of wearing them. Never had any problems with the bluetooth.

Took me awhile to get acclimated, but they are comfortable. The sound quality is great, but the noise cancellation feature does not appear to make a difference. Also, the power seems to drain if not plugged In properly. I still really enjoy the EP650 model which got me hooked and have 3 pairs. I buy them as gifts during the holidays and birthday's and have also recommended them amongst co-workers and friends who have purchased the same set (EP650). This model needs work.

I have had these headphones for a while now with no issues. They are great, the only problem is that they aren't very comfortable to wear around the neck.

This broke after 3 months of barely any use... i had such high expectations, very little if any noise cancelling at all. Please dont by this for the noise cancelling aspect. Its a decent wireless headphone for the price range..That i will admit.. but has no sustaining power head portion and the battery was so so.. a lot to be imagined here .. look at other options is my advice

Ich habe schon einiges an KH's durch gehört, aber gehöre vermutlich zu den wenigen Ausnahmen die vom Vorgänger nicht sonderlich angetan waren. Der Klang war für die Preisklasse durchaus in Ordnung, jedoch konnte er mich nicht wirklich mitreissen. Dies sei Vorab erwähnt, hat sich beim neuen EP750 durchaus geändert. Wer hier Fullminanten Bassboost sucht wird vermutlich eher enttäuscht sein, denn der Ep750 klingt/gehört vor allem durch seine verbauten Mitten und Höhen zur Fraktion der „Neutral-Kopfhörern“, aber von Anfang an…Verpackung und Krims-Krams bei Lieferung:Spätestens der Karton erinnert uns daran, dass der August aus ganz fernen Landen stammen muss. Ein weißer mit dem Schriftzug und den Spezifikationen des KH bedruckter Karton, welcher da es sich vermutlich um einen demnächst auch unter anderen Brands zu findenden Kopfhörer handelt, kein stylisches Outfit verpasst bekommen hat. Der Vorgänger wurde unter mindestens drei verschiedenen Namen vemarktet. Dies dürfte dem neuen EP750 ganz ähnlich gehen, aber das nur nebenbei. Im Lieferumfang sind ein Hard Case zum Transport des KH. Ein Micro-USB-Ladekabel, ein 3,5'er Klinkenstecker, ein Flugzeugadapter sowie eine Bedienungsanleitung. Soweit so gut…!Optisch-/haptischer Eindruck:Der Kopfhörer wirkt sehr schick und auch wertig verarbeitet. Der Kopfbügel sowie die beiden Lauscher sind sehr akkurat gepolstert. Auf dem Kopfband findet sich eine dezente und etwas Old School wirkende Kunstlederbespannung. Die Bügel sind mit Alu verstärkt und klappbar, was den Transport immens vereinfacht. Auf dem rechter Lauschergehäuse frontseitig befindet sich der ANC Regler welcher sich alleine durch kurzes ertasten beim Tragen des Kopfhörer Zu bzw. Abschalten lässt. Auf der Rücksseite des rechten Lauschergehäuses befinden sich die „üblichen Verdächtigen“. Der On-Off, Gesprächsannahme und Pairing Button . Nennen wir ihn der Einfachheithalber „Multibutton“. Darunter finden sich der Lautstärkeregler bzw. die Skippingtasten. An der Gehäuseunterkante rechtsseitig noch der Micro-USB-Slot und Audio In. Der Kopfhörer macht einen sehr stabilen und gut verarbeiteten Gesamteindruck. Die Lauscher bieten innen nicht richtig Platz mit ca. 6,6 cm x 4 cm, was Menschen mit größeren Ohren eher am Dauerhaften Tragen hindern dürfte. Ich würde meine Ohren als eher Mittelgroß (oberes Drittel) bezeichnen und stoße leicht an. Brillenträger mit kleinen und mittelgroßen Ohren hingegen dürften zufrieden sein, da sich die Lauscher bequem individuell anlegen bzw. verschieben lassen, so dass der Druck auf die Bügel der Brille absolut erträglich sein dürfte. Zudem findet sich auch an diesem neuen Modell die Möglichkeit für NFC. Die Treiber lassen sich nur rudimentär ausmachen, es dürften hierbei 40mm zum Einsatz gekommen sein.Bedienung des August und die verbaute TechnikDurch mehrsekündiges Drücken des „Multibutton“ paired sich der, was die Findung des Smartphones (bei mir ein Androidgerät) angeht, gar nicht Dumme August, binnen weniger Sekunden. Sogleich wird auf dem Endgerät die Unterstützung von Qualcomm aptx angezeigt. Dies ist für alle diejenigen interessant die einen gravierenden Unterschied mit und ohne aptx herauszuhören glauben. Ich persönlich bin mir nicht wirklich sicher ob ich hierbei in Freudentaumel geraten soll?! Ich nehme bei modernen Kopfhörern lediglich Nuancen an klanglicher Verbesserung wahr. Je nachdem welche Musikrichtung man bevorzugt, wird es vermutlich eher nicht so stark auffallen..:!?Hier hat man sich mit Bluetooth 4.1 aptx sehr gut aufgestellt. Somit wird das größtmögliche Rundum-Sorglos-Paket angeboten was der Klangübertragung bzw. der übetragenenen Daten garantiert und ein Höchstmaß an Verbindungsstabilität garantiert. Die üblichen +/- 10 Meter werden vom Hersteller angegeben. Dies gilt natürlich nur auf freiem Feld bzw. im selben Zimmer. Verlässt man den Raum und schließt die Türe ist ende im Gelände selbst wenn es noch innerhalb des beworbenen Radius passiert. Der Akku hält mit eingeschaltetem ANC gute 10-11 Stunden (ohne kommt man auf die Betriebszeit von etwa 14 Stunden). Dies hängt natürlich auch immer von der gewählten Lautstärke ab. Läuft der August unter „Trommelfeuer“ verringert sich die Laufzeit entsprechend – logisch!Tragegefühl/TragekomfortKurz gesagt – ziemlich Nice! Der Andruck von oben ist vohanden, aber für mich nicht unangenehm. Auch bei Kappenträgern dürfte es hier keine Probleme geben. Der seitliche Andruck ist ähnlich wie beim Skullcandy HESH 3 welcher im direkten Vergleich etwa in der selben Liga spielt.Der August EP750 lässt sich problemlos auch über längere Zeit tragen ohne dass einem die Murmel ausgequetscht wird. Es geht vom Tragegefühl sicherlich noch bequemer aber auch wesentlich schlechter. Hier würde ich das Gewicht höher Einschätzen als die angegebenen 235 Gramm was aber für mich persönlich absolut passt! Der Kopfhörer hält gut und sicher auf dem Kopf bei Shoppingtouren, Weg zur Bahn etc. Sport- bzw. Fitneßeinheiten würde ich hiermit aber eher nicht absovieren wollen.Die Posterung trägt nicht zu dick auf und liegt gut über den Ohren ohne dass diese (wir haben November) hierin schwitzen würden.Klangtest / Sounding:Tja, hier ist natürlich wieder einmal der Hinweis gestattet, dass Klangempfinden immer subjektiver Natur ist. Der KH klingt für mich weniger hart und weniger Basslastig als der Vorgänger und bietet durch seine recht gute Wiedergabe ein fast schon neutrales Klangbild. Dies dürfte vor allem den Interessenten schmecken, die gerne viel unterschiedliche Genres hören. Da hier weniger Augenmerk auf den Bass gelegt wird kommen Gittaren, Syntis etc. gut rüber und dies für mein Begriffe sehr weich. Der August ist somit eher kein Partykopfhörer sondern tatsächlich für den langen „Klangspaß“ gedacht wobei er mir manchmal ein wenig zu undynamisch agiert. Je nach Genre hat man schonmal aufgrund der Aussteuerung der Treiber das Gefühl das irgendwas fehlt. Schmälert in dieser Preisklasse nicht das an sich gute Hörerlebnis sollte aber mal erwähnt werden.ANC:Ich halte es hier sehr kurz: Das funktioniert recht gut, ein Flugtest steht zwar derzeit noch aus (werde dies aber dann ergänzen), jedoch bei normalen Straßenlärm, Bahnfahrt etc. tut er das sehr manierlich ohne dabei zu glänzen. Erfreulicherweise wird die Klangwiedergabe hierbei überhaupt nicht beeinträchtigt. Wer bei Herbststurm mit den KH vor die Türe geht wird jedoch auch bei ordentlicher Lautstärke immer noch was von seiner Umgebung mitbekommen, speziell Windgeräusche oder bei uns zuhause das Babygeschrei kommen durch (wäre ja sonst auch gemein;) )Mein vorläufiges Fazit:Ich hätte dem neuen August nicht soviel zugetraut, wenngleich ich denke, dass es preislich sicherlich noch etwas günstiger gehen würde. Der Vorgänger welcher u. a. auch als AUNA ELGANCE mit ANC vertrieben wird stimmt mich zuversichtlich, das wir den August EP750 schon bald unter anderem Namen günstiger erstehen können. Ich denke ein Preis von um die 90 Euro +/- wäre dem Kopfhörer hier angemessen. Die Verarbeitung ist sehr gut, der Tragekomfort gut, die Klangwiedergabe recht neutral ohne zu glänzen.Wer einen Allroundkopfhörer für den täglichen und mobilen Einsatz sucht wird hiermit zufrieden sein und nimmt leichte Abstriche in der Dynamik beim Abspielen der Lieblingsmusik hin. Wer mehr will, der muss auch etwas tiefer in die Tasche greifen.

Las dos quejas que tengo son la duración de la batería y que hay un leve zumbido que solo lo escuchas cuando los tienes encendidos y no estas escuchando nada o a volumen muy bajo. La calidad precio es el punto fuerte de los auriculares, las almohadillas muy cómodas, tanto las de las orejas como la de la cabeza y una cosa que me hizo darme cuenta de la calidad de los auriculares es que tengo un amigo con unos auriculares beat de 350€ y cuando los probé me sorprendí porque eran muy parecidos a los august con esto lo digo todo.

Great for the price considering the competitors. I tried the $180 Sony ones at Costco and they didn't sound as good while they also offered less features than the August 750s. If you're looking for higher quality blue-tooth headphones that have tons of features this is the set to buy for sure. It pays to do research on brands that don't have the recognition to charge a premium for their name as you get products like this that punch way above their price point. The sound is quite rich providing a full experience that is quite immersive, for Bluetooth the audio quality is pretty darn good, the volume can go fairly high, and it provides more features than anything else in its price segment while also coming with a hard-shell carrying case and a ton of accessories. They really provide so much more than any other company does anywhere near this price point.I really think that this headset deserves 5 stars due to the price point category it is in yet there is no perfect headset so there are two things I do not particularly like about these although I would chose them over anything else in the sub $220 price point. First, the rectangular shape is strange and just doesn't seem right. I don't know why they opted to stray from the circular format which makes a cup over your ears that entirely encase them as I think it would be more comfortable and have better sound isolation although after playing around with positioning a bit I have been able to fairly easily find a position that is comfortable enough to wear them for several hours without discomfort. The second complaint I have is that although they have the really cool function to share audio with another headset for multiple scenarios, like hooking it up to a receiver or powered speakers to play the Bluetooth output or sharing with another headset so that two people can enjoy the audio output which is great for watching a movie or listening to music in an environment where people need to be quiet, the second headset needs to be powered or else they it is way too low for the second person to really enjoy the audio output. This is understandable though as the headset has to power itself and another set which is asking a lot so if you want to use the this audio sharing function to another headset just make sure that other headset it powered like hooking it up to another ERP750 or something with its own power source for the speakers. Honestly, even though there is a bit of a complaint here the fact is that no other headset in this price point even delivers this feature so really it is a non-issue in my eyes but something I wanted to bring up in the review.I had a problem with my first pair where they lasted about 2 months and then started to slowly been bleed charge over periods of inactivity to the point now where if I left the headset fully charged for about four or five days it would have completely discharged its battery and I was left with a dead headset. I even made sure to leave the ANC off as you can use the ANC function with the headset off (which is a nice feature to have). There was a clear problem and it only got worse and worse until it wouldn't even hold a day's charge. Amazon was gracious enough to let me return the product out of the return period although the headset never actually arrived, so they gave me an option to be refunded and sent out a new one and I just chose to take the refund and be done with it. This is where August truly stunned me as they contacted me after reading my updated review of the product and offered to rectify everything I had been through by sending me out a working headset which is seriously top notch support. I also have to note that this action has in no way influenced my rating as I originally gave them 5 stars before the initial issue started, so now that I have a new set that works perfectly I can reinstate my original review.Thanks so much August for the stellar support and for making a product really outdoes anything in the price point category. This is the only set to buy if you are looking to spend $110 on a Bluetooth headset with ANC as they do perform as good if not better than some $180 headsets that I have tried which is truly great for us consumers. I think you would have to spend over $200 to get a pair that matches these or outdoes them in terms of performance and features.

I am a long time user of August products and have always bought and used them because they have proven to be durable, high quality and well priced products, this seems like it will be no exception.When ordering this pair of headphones I was a little concerned with the price, i bought these to replace my EP650 set which i have had for 3 years and had it not been for me stepping on them accidentally, i would have seen much more use out of them then the three years for which i had them.I upgraded to this model because of the added feature of noice cancellation.The headphones arrived, they look immaculate! Lots of padding on the ears, this makes the ear holes a bit smaller so for some people these may become on ear headphones rather then over ear.The device has an a built in battery with an exceptional charge capacity, though the battery will drain faster if you turn on the noise cancellation but it is still enough to last you many hours of continuous usage. The added advantage that I found was that i could also plug these in using an AUX cord and use them without having to worry about the battery so much.I paired these with my Macbook Pro, my iPhone 7plus, Ipad, my August bluetooth sound transmitter connected to my samsung smart tv and my Note 4. The pairing works flawlessly and there werent any issues with the quality of sound from one device to another.Aside from using the headphones to listen to music and watch movies, i also used it a couple of times in my car to make phone calls and even with my windows rolled down there was very minimal sound distortion and the person on the other end could hear me clearly.The controls on the headset are intuitive and well placed, they were easy to access while on the phone or using the headphones to listen to music and move tracks back and forth.I havent had a chance to try these on an airplane yet but i tried them on the bus, in my car and in my room with my fan. The bus engine sound was almost completely drowned with the noice cancelation turned on and the music on high volume. The same effect was observed in the car, though i didnt drive for very long with them on as I dont feel comfortable having both my ears covered when I drive. In my room the sound of the fan was eliminated almost instantly and my fan is pretty loud.The sound quality over all on this set is comparable to the EP650 from August. Good lows and highs and i didnt notice any drop in sound quality in wired vs bluetooth usage.I meant to add pictures to this review to show the case that came with the headset but I wrote this review while on the bus and didnt have the case with me. So for anyone that has ever worried about damaging their headphones and having to spend extra money to buy a case, this pair of headphones comes with a sturdy black carrying case for traveling or for keeping your accesories like your charging cable (mini usb) or 3.5 connection cable or an extra power pack for charging your electronics on the go!I gave these headphones a five and I dont throw around fives in my reviews very easily. The people at August have historically offered me very good customer service and that compliments their quality products. I would much rather buy a quality product for a reasonable price that comes with excellent customer service then buy something expensive that doesnt come with adequate customer service and support.

Ich hatte einen Kopfhörer zum Telefonieren, Filme schauen und Musik hören über PC gesucht.Ein weiteres Feature, das das Gerät mitbringen sollte war das Multipoint (gleichzeitige BT-Verbindung zu 2 Geräten).Der August EP750 gefiel mir sowohl vom Preis wie auch von der Optik, daher entschied ich mich für ihn.Nachdem ich ihn nun einige Monate ausprobieren konnte, schreibe ich hier mein Fazit :Positiv :+ Multipoint-Funktionalität, Anschluss 2.Kopfhörer (nicht getestet)++ Für kurze Zeit (bis 30 Min.) : Angenehmer Tragekomfort++ Gute Ausstattung (Kabel, Aufbewahrungsbox, Anleitung) und Haptik++ Gute Klangqualität (bin jedoch kein Akkustik-Experte)++ Ausreichend lange Akkulaufzeit (hält 1 Arbeitstag durch)+++ Sehr gute BT-Verbindung : Hält Verbindung über 10m auch wenn ich um die Ecke in einen anderen Raum geheWeniger gut finde ich :- Etwas komplizierte und unzuverlässige Multipoint-Einrichtung (teilweise 5 Versuche), danach funktioniert sie aber- Kopf bzw. Ohren werden bei längerem Tragen (z.B. 90 Min. Film anschauen) des Kopfhörers warm (Gerät wird NICHT warm, aber mangelnde Luftzirkulation rund um die Ohren können zum schwitzen führen). Nach dem Telefonieren (ca. 10 Min.) setzte ich diese immer ab. Bei Telefonmeetings (teils > 1 Std.) wird es wieder warm--- Mikro ist sehr leise (größter Kritikpunkt !). Wenn ich spreche, verstehen mich andere Telefonpartner kaum. Das ist bei anderen Headsets deutlich besser !Die letzten beiden Negativpunkte hätten mich beinahe dazu bewogen, das Gerät umzutauschen, letztendlich habe ich jedoch lange gesucht und bin zu der Überzeugung gekommen, dass es wohl kein besseres Gerät in dieser Preisklasse gibt. In der Preisklasse über 250 € hat man evtl. Chancen auf einen besseren Kopfhörer, getestet habe ich das jedoch nicht, eine Garantie gibt es auch nicht.Letztendlich habe ich mich in den Monaten an diesen gewöhnt und im bevorstehenden Winter wird das Schwitzen wohl auch nicht so oft auftreten, so dass ich den August EP750 auf jeden Fall behalten werde.
