Very Precise and quiet device
The Pons PT work as intended, in combination with a slider or as a stand alone product, very easy setup on the app, and as i mention before it works very well as a stand alone product without the app, and is ideal for product shots.... Totally Recomended!

Nothing else like it at this price point.
3 axis motion control systems are not cheap! You have offerings from Rhino and Syrup that will run you 2-3 thousand dollars or more. Combine the PONS PT with one of Zeapon's excellent sliders like the original Micro 2, E600, E800 or the newer Micro 2 Plus and you have an incredibly cost effective motion control system.I do want to say up front that I understand the challenge Zeapon here. They were trying to create a brand new piece of gear, the PONS PT, and integrate that with another product, the Micro 2 sliders, that is multiple years old. Not an easy endeavor for sure. Right out of the starting blocks I think they have done an impressive job. There are some issues with this integration but nothing that are deal breakers for me.I am just going to focus on using the PONS PT with the Micro 2 sliders for this review. You can certainly use the PONS PT as an automated tilt and pan system by just attaching it directly to a tripod and that works very well. But my interest was in the 3 axis motion control.Zeapon has produced a brand new app, Zeapon Lab, for this setup. Keep in mind this is a brand new app so there are a few quirks but there wasn’t anything that greatly impacted my ability to shoot.Just some small things like having to exit to the main screen when you want to change speeds. For the most part the app worked quite well. One great feature I love is that you can set multiple way points. I believe around 5 or so. This is unlike the much more expensive Rhino system that simply provides a A and B point and that’s it. There is a quirk right now having to do with the transition between the waypoints. The system will pause briefly when moving from one way point to another. Depending on how fast you are going there may be some slight issues with the timing of the pan, tilt and slide ending or starting at precisely the same time. However this issue is minimized when moving at slow speeds such as when shooting something like an interview. I have heard from Zeapon themselves that their engineers are actively working on addressing this problem but like I said if you are shooting at slower movement speeds that impact isn’t too great. For me it has next to zero impact because I never actually shoot the transition between waypoints. I film the movement in between waypoints. The movement between waypoints, honestly regardless of speed, is incredibly smooth. Even with big wide pans or tilts as it moves across the slider look fantastic. No bumps or hiccups. It’s important that you secure the whole setup as best you can. For example if you have the original Micro 2 slider on a tripod, you want to make sure you are using a beefy heavy tripod. The combo of the PONS PT and slider isn’t very light so locking everything down as best as possible is very important. I use an actual aluminum video tripod with a larger Manfrotto video head. IF you use the PONS PT with one of the larger sliders like the E600 or E800, using the included stabilization arms that came with those sliders is going to be vital. The build quality of the PONS PT is really outstanding. It’s a very solid build of metal with some plastic. Everything feels very premium here. Just like my Zeapon slider I think this is something that is going to last me for years. One last feature I want to mention is noise or more to the point the lack of noise. In my testing the PONS PT is actually more quiet than the Zeapon sliders which were already very quiet pieces of gear. You should have no issues with noise when shooting with this system on things like interviews. At this price point there isn’t anything even close to the PONS PT and the Micro 2 slider. If you already have the slider then you are simply looking at $500 - $600, depending on sales, to have full 3 axis motion control. Something that is perfect for things like interviews or product videography. I think this whole system is going to just keep getting better as Zeapon addresses some of the issues I mentioned. As it is right now I am very happy with this setup!

Must have for working pro’s
I bought these motors and now my Zeapon slider is complete. Near silent and silky smooth movement makes this tool welcome on my productions.
