This book is beautifully photographed. It depicts all the beauty and uniqueness of New York City. I borrowed this from the library and fell in love with it. Not enough to own my own copy, but I ordered one for my daughter who is fascinated with New York City . She visits as often as she can, and just loves walking through the old historic neighborhoods. This photographer really captures that perfectly.

Lovely book. It’s a perfect gift for someone who loves New York.

For anyone curious about New York City's neighborhoods, a must-look. Not text-heavy, which is great because the photos are obviously the main feature. Exceptional. It was satisfying to read each neighborhood with breaks in between. Rereads can focus more on details overlooked. It appears quiet, but being in NYC would otherwise present a lot more activity.

Send this as a gift to New York friends who loved it it’s a beautiful book for those New Yorkers who would like to know more about their city or for anyone interested in knowing about the amazing city of New York.

Most of our lives our given over to experiential epochs. Being bourne, opening our eyes on to spaces, and giving specific destinations their moments in time-their meanings-and their names. For the student, or pedestrian, the most entrenched, and enticing celebrations of moody architecture, provocative entry-ways is plotted out like square dimensions in an accessible expanse; in New York City we achieve a frenetic psychology; the pathology of leaving a leafy neighborhood to descend on to a cultured square. The energy of the one village does not portend the same events deposited by a historic block with distressed musings. I can't imagine dreaming at the pyx of a swirling landscape lane stream. I would seek expressions of prosperity as I observed objects not a part of an universal consciousness. This book is such an awesome idea!-and it's New York City. Pictures mostly of building fronts and with precise tones and adornments, there are pictures which relay the themes of entire streets. What is encompassed in each photograph is also given a well informed and precise summary. There's so much literary and niche history that's tied up in Susan Kaufman's city walks.

This is a beautiful book to put on your shelf or better yet, your coffee table. I purchased this a a gift for my son and his wife, who live in NY. You don’t, however, have to live in the city to enjoy this book. It breaks the city into its various sections or neighborhoods and offers images of parks, homes, shops, landmarks, etc.

Hermoso libro de fotografias de la Cd de Nueva York. Magnifico y conforme lo vayan viendo, visiten cada sitio... vale la pena.

Después de visitar NY recientemente, necesitaba tener un libro que recogiera parte de lo vivido durante mi visita. Ojeé este libro en NY pero no me decidí a comprarlo. A la vuelta lo busqué y lo compré para no olvidar los buenos momentos pasados. Las imágenes son maravillosas y te dan una idea de la ciudad que no se limita a sus grandes rascacielos. Te enseña donde vive la gente corriente y cómo la belleza se puede encontrar en cualquier rincón.
