Gave my cat more time and quality of life
My 14 year old cat, who was no longer able to keep dry food down (great food, I just don't think he could chew well enough because of his teeth), dwindled down to only a few pounds (he's always been less than 10lbs) and I was trying to get my girls to come to terms with putting him down. After them begging me not to, I went to the pet store to buy another bag of kibble and saw this food. I decided to give it a shot, as a last-ditch effort. I rehydrated it, making it more of a soupy paste. He absolutely loved it, no longer had issues holding his food down and, after a few short weeks, began noticibly gaining weight and energy. He was always excited for his meals, ate them easily, and got back up to a weight that no longer made him look or act like he was on the verge of death - before, I felt like he would break if I set him down too hard or he jumped from too high, but he was back to jumping down from high places with ease. We got 9 more months with him, before he took an overnight turn and showed us that it was his time. This food allowed us more time with him, and for his last months to be happier, healthier, and more comfortable - failing because of age, rather than health issues. I only wish I switched him sooner, so he didn't have to go so long with the issues he had and losing all that weight.

2 out of 3 cats love it! It's great!
Previously I used a different brand and got a sometimes-I-like-it feedback from 2 out of the 3. Tried this brand and get a great response from 2 out of the 3. One of them does best on fresh chicken and chicken liver, and so she likes this the best. The other loves the liver but not so hot on fresh chicken but otherwise eats most everything, and she does like this also. The third won't budge - I was hoping she'd go for this, but nada, sorry. She came to me addicted to Friskies, is now pretty tired of Friskies, so eating more nutritious grain-free now (at least a step) but I still can't get her off either canned or dry food (but she drinks a lot!). This is a great product and I'm glad it has the vitamin/nutrients cats need added. I use this as a option, not their entire food. Fresh chicken & liver is still my and one cat's preference, but the two do like this also! Maybe #3 will get with the program eventually. I'll buy this again. The nuggets are smaller than what I had, and don't crumble as easily, but my 2 will eat either squished or as a nugget so yeah, I'll be back! 1/4/2021 Update - Cats still love this (2 out of 3), both are eating it more which is OK because this gets them additional nutrients so I'm happy for that. It's really comparable cost-wise to fresh chicken or canned wet food (and more nutritious than canned). Photo - I'm at the end of my current supply (have ordered 6 more - it's that good) so some is very crumbly at the end, but photo gives an idea of the size. They eat both but seems easier for them if I crumble the chunks a bit. They prefer to eat it dry, not so much if I re-hydrate it (although they don't refuse that). They drink water well so that's fine. I've tried turkey, white fish, and chicken and they'll eat all of them, but I like the lower cost of the chicken so they get that more,

My 13yr. old fussy cat loves this food
She's very picky, and after her sister died she decided she didn't like the food anymore. I went to our local per store and they had a free sample. It was chicken freezed dried. She loved it!. Wish it cost less, but she's worth it.

Cats go crazy over this
I SO appreciate the lack of "wholesome" fruits and veggies which is just a slogan to defraud pet owners. Cats do not eat fruits not veggies. I've used every protein source made by this company. My 3 cats go crazy over all of them. Never seen them go so loco over any food and we've been together for over 16 years! I add water and or homemade chicken bone broth. Some bags have a more crumbled content but it's OK. Once you add the water it all turns into a mush anyway. Dry chunks are awesome and healthy treats. I also use the salmon as treats with the added benefit of essential fatty acids. I am very happy with these products. Have an older girl, very picky with her food so started feeding her some high end kibble (but kibble isn't good food...) just to feed her whatever she would eat to get some calories into her. Then I found this, she LOVES it!! She's putting on weight, her coat is beautiful again, her eyes are sparkling. I'm so happy!! I think the bone broth also is making a big diff. Easy to make bone broth!! 5 or do chicken drumsticks. Add all to slow cooker. Meat, bones, skin. Water to cover. Cook on low for 8 hours. Take drums out. Debone, strain the liquid and preserve, add bones back to crockpot add 2Tbsp apple cider vinegar and water to cover. Cook for 24 hours on low. Add water as needed to cover bones. After 24 hours, strain the liquid, mix with the broth from the first round and freeze. It's really good stuff. Add to any food or just put out a small bowl for them to lap up. Small trouble to make for such a benefit!!

My cat loves this in chicken flavor.
My cat is very finicky and never liked freeze dried food. I tried a sample pack and she loves it. It must smell nice to her because she runs over every time I open it. I saw the company video and it was impressive. Seems like great quality chicken. I will keep buying this stuff, until I can’t afford it. Price and size are O. K. For what you are getting. I recommend you at least try it!!

Bad Bag/Bad Batch/Bad Seller?
My 3 Cats have loved these nuggetss for years! Been buying them off amazon as they're hard to find locally. This most recent bag tho..just opened this bag a couple days ago and overall looks fine, smells fine BUT I am finding hard, dark brown, dried up and impossible to crumble nuggets! SO I go to Northwest Naturals to submit the info so they can track if more people complain and that's where I discovered that somewhere along the process, these bags I've been getting off amazon DO NOT have the 'BEST IF USED BY/BATCH#' stamp that Northwest Naturals shows on it's website('how to find tracking number info')! AND someone is adding their own Best By date stickers AND adding a sticker & tape with their own UPC code to obscure the NWN UPC code and any other info that might be underneath! (tbh I had noticed this a bag or two ago but didn't pursue it since the bag contents were fine). Hopefully I'll get some good answers because the cats do love their freeze dried nuggies and there's not a lot of brands to choose from(yes, they love Stella & Chewys, but I like offering them variety)

Good product, poor packaging
The package came pretty crushed so there was very little of the food that wasn't powdered. My cats like this food but only in the dry form which means I paid a lot for a very little amount of useable food. My cats will not eat it rehydrated and so was pretty much a total bust for our household. If you are using this rehydrated then it wouldn't matter if the food came in chunks or powdered and rest assured that it is a very good product. I just wouldn't recommend buying it without being able to examine the package in person.

My cat wouldn't touch it
I have bought this brand previously, and my cat loved it. Something was wrong with this recent package. It smelled funny, and my cat wouldn't touch it. Plus, it's non-returnable. This is the second time I have ordered a cat food from Amazon, and something was wrong with it. I think it sits on the warehouse shelves too long.

Not so much for cats
I really liked the ingredients and was happy to find what seemed to be quality raw food for my cats. Unfortunately, most pieces are too big for a cat and there's a lot of powder in the package (disintegrated pieces of food). So my cats left it behind when I mixed it with their food. So I gave it to the dog who pretty much likes anything.

Good food but cats don’t like it
Our kitties didn’t take to it very well but it’s good quality
