The fan on my A/C condenser simply stopped but the condenser coil was humming. My A/C guy said it sounded like a capacitor issue, so I opened the unit’s panel and saw one of two capacitors were slightly bubbled out on top. It was a 370 V, but reading showed me 440 V is a better and fully compatible option, as long as I kept the microfarads the exact same (higher voltage capacitors can handle more motor feedback and appear to be better for whatever else is fed to it). I ordered it and it came in the next day. I put on waterproof rubber gloves and did the safe things to short the connector, all after flipping off the circuit breaker. Then replaced the leads and put electrical tape back around the connections, then put the panels back in place and turned on the breaker, and it worked as soon as I turned on the A/C inside the house, again. For $10, it was a great learning experience, and we were only without the A/C about a day and a half. This capacitor even kept the same +/- 5% tolerance our prior one did. I would definitely get this again.

The blower motor in my HVAC system would not start, it would just hum until you manually turned the squirrel cage to gt it started. I really know nothing about how an HVAC system operates but do know that electric motors will not spin if the require a capacitor to start and the capacitor is bad so instead of paying someone for the repair I did it myself and saved a few hundred bucks. It was worth the price.

Match up the numbers on your existing AC unit and the capacitor numbers. Easy to remove the old and install the new. They have functioned perfectly.

Find your HVAC capacitor...buy one you cheapskate! keep it next to your breaker box where you'll remember it...save about $500 in service call repairs the next time your ac goes out

This capacitor was right on the mark, had correct connectors, and made the motor start faster with less amperage.

I was about to get a new blower motor, but it turns out it was just the capacitor. Easy replacement, fast repair.
