I think this flat iron is the best one I’ve ever had but, it’s probably the most expensive one too. I normally buy cheap ones. I was initially considering the Vanessa 2” but so glad I got this 1”by Tymo! I researched probably longer than necessary but with all the different features it took some weeding out. What I LOVE about this one is…. The quickness in which it heats up. The fact that it doesn’t have a “switch” to turn it off and on bc lets face it those usually get in the way when you are styling! This product you just wave it on and unplug to turn off (or simply don’t move it for 5 minutes and it shuts off) I love that safety feature too, I famously leave it on and forget about it. I like the digital temp reading. I like the plates on them, they look pretty and the way they leave my hair, INCREDIBLE! Being 56 and my hair recently went thru “the change” so instead of soft free-flowing hair I have stiff, frizzy, dry hair (It didn’t used to be that way). After using this for the first time on unwashed hair I could tell it was going to be amazing on freshly washed and conditioned hair! It didn’t disappoint! It turned my lack luster hair into something soft, shiny and free flowing again! I couldn’t believe how much it did for my hair without burning and breaking my hair! I love that I could get really close to my scalp (where a lot of my frizzy is) and it didn’t send the steam into my scalp burning me! The fact that it does in fact do all the different styles is amazing too! I think it is incredible that it did all the different styling, I was able to get a curl, a wave, and straight on the first use! It truly is a multi-tool for your hair! I’m always a little skeptical with multi-tools either they don’t work, or you don’t need the extra and since I like to style my hair in different ways this thing really is all that! GAME CHANGER! My old iron took so long to get the job done (and my hair NEVER looked shiny and healthy after). Thus, the reason for a new purchase! Since this heats up so fast (I think less than 10 seconds!) and really does the job in one pass (with my hair) I’m so glad I got this 1” I was worried it would take twice as long to do my hair, being ½ the size well it’s the opposite! I get it done in ½ the time bc I’m not having to make so many passes to get my frizz out and can get to the roots! Oh, and I also like that it came with a glove (although some steam can still make it thru) and some clips! The clips are quality plastic not thin break within a few uses I can see me having them for a while, I want more actually! They have a tight spring and really hold a lot of hair back so I can get to the underneath part of my hair. The only negative to this tool is that when opening it I did pinch myself on the end of the iron where it opens, twice actually but not when I was styling just when I was opening the pkg and checking it out, but hey I wasn’t familiar with the tool and once I get more comfortable and control of the iron I don’t see this being an issue at all! I LOVE this thing; it makes me want style my hair more!

Wow this worked incredibly well. It’s so hard to find a good quality iron for my thick curly hair, but this one was perfect !! It has a high temp and turns off by itself self if I leave it on too long unattended. The plates come together tight and eventually, it doesn’t pull my hair out, it does what it needs to do. thanks 😊

Heats quickly. Easy temperature regulation. Love the sleeve that comes with it. I got it for a European trip because it is dual voltage. Worked wonderful on my trip. Easy to pack. Smoothed my hair out very very. Recommend

I really like this flat iron because I can use it to straighten my hair or create waves without needing a different tool. It heats up quickly, and adjusting the temperature is easy. It glides smoothly through my hair, and I don’t have to go over the same section several times to get a nice result. It’s also comfortable to hold and easy to use. So far, I’m very happy with it.

I got this flat iron because my other one is about 20 years old, so I figured it was finally time to try something newer. One of my favorite features is the auto shutoff. I’m always paranoid about accidentally leaving things on, so having that feature gives me some peace of mind. I also really like the color. It has a cute and stylish look, and it heats up very quickly. I was hoping the plates would have a super smooth feel, but they don’t. They aren’t bad, just not my personal preference. I tend to like flat irons where my hair glides really smoothly through the plates and comes out feeling sleek and shiny. Overall, this is a solid flat iron. It heats up fast, has some nice safety features, and works well. The plate texture is really the only thing that keeps it from being exactly what I prefer.

It’s very easy to hold and twist for curls. Heats up very fast and doesn’t pull my hair. Love this flat iron!

Great straightener! It's super light and does its job. I have thick hair and a bit long, also a bit stubborn. My hair naturally wavy, not too curly. I love straightening my hair and I definitely got to have a really good straightener to do it's magic on my hair. This one here... it's absolutely wonderful! I couldn't figure how to turn it off but read that it automatically shuts itself off after 5 minutes, which is freaking awesome! I definitely recommend this straightener to the beautiful ladies with really curly, wavy hair, or super thick hair.

Every time I use it, I spend at least 5 minutes waving this flat iron around in the air like a crazy person trying to get it to turn on because there's no power button (instructions say it just takes a "sway" to power it up). I've taken to drawing the alphabet in the air, hoping one of the letters approximates the angle & speed of whatever sway motion the thing needs to turn on. It also turns off spontaneously while I'm using it and I have to spend another frustrating 5+ mins waving it around, trying to get it to turn back on. The built-in motion detector is crap. Upsides; heats up at light speed, in 10-15 seconds. The titanium plates enable the hair to flow through the irons smoothly, avoiding the frying and breakage of my ends that other flat irons cause. But overall, I wish I'd chosen a different model. The power issue overshadows any upsides by a several orders of magnitude. I stress every time I have to use it. Update 1/14/26... I reported my issues with this straightener to the seller, Tymo. They had me upload a video of the issues mentioned above, and within a week there was a new one at my door. And good gracious, the difference is day & night. Better than expected. The first one was clearly defective compared to the replacement, which works like a charm and spares my arms the workout :) Changing my rating from 2 stars to 4. They won me over 👍

Heats fast and is hot. Great for all hair types.
