Part of item didn’t work properly
Product that I received looks like stored or transported incorrectly because one of the components (cold weld) has been activated and doesn’t mix properly with hands. Overall this kit not work as I expected.

Great value product that works!
This is a great product. It fixed an outdoor burst pipe and saved me a visit from the plumber.

Great stuff!
A little messy to use however it does come with a pair of gloves! This kit was very easy to use! The one comment I would say is that the application is very linear and doesnt have much stretch or flex. For example, if you are using it to temporarily patch and seal a 1 3/4" to a 2" pipe then you will have to use a twist in the fabric to snug up the smaller diameter size (as opposed to say one of those elastic medical bandages flex) Once installed however and left to cure, rock hard and does the job.

Say what you will plumbers...it works!
You plumber guys are annoyed these are breaking into your business? :) My plumber admitted they work. End of day he'll be back again to swap out the copper pipes eventually, not to mention all the other stuff plumbers do that keeps them busy. Of course if you have old copper, it makes sense to just start swapping out for PEX. Once they start popping pin hole leaks, just a matter of time before there's another, and another, and another. But these kits are effective in putting off the bigger bills. It’s a bit messy and awkward the first one, so far I’ve done four and they've gotten easier as I went. This is extremely strong fast curing resin, hardens to strong molded fiberglass, practically porcelain in an hour. Essentially a five step process, first shut off water mains and drain out the pipes completely, next there’s thick two tone putty, that you press and fold between your fingers like silly putty to mix to one dark grey color (gloves included for this are required it’s fairly sticky stuff). You then apply this putty over the leak, wrapping around the surrounding area. Next there’s the goopy mess part: a roll of moist epoxy fiber tape is soaked briefly in water. You then unroll/wrap it as tightly as possible around the putty area, good idea to go at least a couple inches on either side of this and do several layers. Gloves are essential for this part! I got a little on my hand and it took some effort to get it off. Crazy strong as it needs to be. This is goopy work, but once you get it, it’s goof proof to get a good thick layer where you want it...almost fun, especialy knowing you are turing a 300 dollar plumbing bill in a 12 dollar two hour DYI venture. Last there is a roll of sticky black sock like material you wrap over the top to secure it all in place after about five minutes of cure time. I’ve noticed the sticky fiber tape is bubbling a bit as you apply this. Let dry for about an hour before turning water back on. Done. This combination hardens to extremely strong hard tough multilayer sealant. All successful and have been dry for years now. Great stuff for the super cheap relatively easy fix! I've found you probably don't want to leave these sitting for too long. It's not like they have a short shelf life, but I've noticed ones left for a year do start to dry out a tiny bit. Still work, just less goopy super flexible going on. Best to order per and put them in within a couple months.
