Hi, this is a wonderful question. VINEVIDA essential oils are 100% pure and undiluted, with no added fragrances or synthetics. They are also cruelty free and free of harsh chemicals such as parabens, sulfates, and phthalates. Our essential oils are all lovely as they are, but we do not recommend the use of them internally. Essential oils are highly, highly concentrated substances, and there is simply not enough research yet to support branding them as edible (among other considerations). Various other competitors and companies in the aromatherapy industry have marketed their essential oils as 'being safe for internal use', but there is contention surrounding claims such as these. The question of whether essential oils can or can't be ingested and what that means has long been debated, but for our purposes, we do not recommend internal use. This will be indicated on each of our product labels. Still, our essential oils can absolutely be used for other purposes and added to topical solutions (so long as they are appropriately diluted). Hi, this is a great question. Our Frankincense is a lovely 100% pure and undiluted essential oil with scents of spice, wood, and freshness. To answer your question, we do not suggest the use of essential oils directly to your face as the oil is highly concentrated and using it just by itself may cause skin irritation. We always recommend diluting it first in a carrier oil before applying.
