Nice Buttons, Easy to Assemble
I purchased a set of the size 45 buttons with the wire eye. They seem very sturdy and the included tool makes them very easy to assemble. I can't believe I was thinking about buying an expensive button making tool! This method is probably faster and fits in a drawer. The description says not to use the buttons with upholstery fabric. I did anyway because no one tells me what to do. They worked perfectly fine, even though the fabric I used was quite thick. The blue plastic punch wore out when I was about half way through making the buttons (probably because I was working with upholstery fabric). I discovered that a male threaded pipe fitting was the same size and worked even better than the included punch. You can buy them for a few bucks at any hardware store. Or the button people sell replacement tools separately on their website. I was originally sent a package of buttons with the plain back by mistake. I contacted the seller through their email. They were very nice and sent me out the correct backs immediately. I bought a larger set through their website which is a bit cheaper. They arrived today and look good. I made a plain backed button just for fun an it worked as well as the ones with wire eyes.

Works even with Aida fabric!
When I ordered these buttons, I was a bit nervous because I planned to use Aida fabric (used for cross-stitch embroidery). I wasn’t sure if it would work or if the buttons would close properly. The process isn’t completely straightforward, but it’s definitely doable. Even though this isn’t the original intended use, it worked well for me. I used 18-count Aida fabric and added a bar pin on the back so it could be worn as a badge. Tips: - Higher-count Aida fabric feels thinner and more flexible, making the button easier to close. - Washing the fabric before stitching or washing the finished embroidery afterward, also helps soften it and reduces stiffness. I really love the final result, it looks delicate and well finished. I just wish this set were available in a larger size, as I would definitely purchase it again.

Work perfectly for normal cotton cloth
These buttons arrived in great condition. The tops and covers were packaged separately, so no need to sort them out. I used simple cotton cloth. The seller includes a half circle template to use to cut the cloth to the correct size. This worked great and was the perfect size for these buttons. I had no problem with the buttons popping out. In fact, I made a mistake with one button and it took considerable tugging and lifting before the cover popped off. For the sake of satisfying my curiosity, I tried to use a thicker cloth, and the button was able to hold the thickness. I doubt that upholstery fabric will work, however. The tool is very simple. Although you could technically make your own from two perfectly sized bottle caps, one just slightly larger than the top and one slightly smaller than the cover, but with the negligible cost of the tool ($1 at time of my purchase) I suggest the inclusion of the tool with a first purchase. You can make subsequent purchases of the refill pack, which does not include the tool. The wire eye seems to hold well, even the previously mentioned tugging did not ruin the button. Obviously, I cannot yet speak as to the longevity of the buttons, but so far, they have been holding on my couch nicely. Overall, these buttons work very well and seem to be well designed.

Great buttons for tufting headboards!
I bought these buttons, in the 45 size, to use for a custom headboard project for a personal client. I needed 52 buttons total and figured the 100 pack would be perfect Incase there were defective pieces. The good: The buttons that did snap into place held together beautifully and confidently. I was able to pull them pretty tight for the tufting with no give. I would recommend using a non stretch nylon string if using for furniture purchases as they will not stretch out over time for repeated use. They are true to size at just a hair bigger than a US Quarter which was exactly what my client wanted. The kits comes with 100 eye-loop backs, 100 covers, a pusher, and silicon holder. This product is manufactured in the USA which is always a plus for me as I love supporting great businesses especially ones that help put food on the table for hard working Americans. The bad: Depending on your fabric type, the stainless steel will “shine” through. I was using a lighter type of upholstery fabric that had no stretch and with only one layer of fabric, you could clearly see the metal through the material. I included the best picture I could of this, but it was very noticeable in person. This means I had to double up my fabric. If your fabric is of a lightweight construction, you may need to add a second layer while applying. Upon doubling my fabric, the pusher that was included in the package gave out on me after only 11 buttons. The inside edges of the plastic began to curl inward rendering it useless. I fixed this by tailing along to the store with my husband and buying a PVC coupling that fit in the groves on the back of the button. I was back in business. If your fabric is of heavyweight quality, you may have premature failure of the pusher. I was able to complete 56 buttons in about an hour, with a caffeine break in between and using two layers of the fabric per button. Only two backs failed on me, and bent before settling in place, this happened for unknown reasons, as I hadn’t done anything differently up until that point. Overall, I’d say that is still pretty good given the quality I’ve experienced in the past. I would purchase this item again, however I would like the pusher to be of better quality as I am not the only one to experience it damaging under load. The PVC worked great for me and didn’t have any issues under stress. I would be willing, as a consumer, to pay more for a better quality tool kit to be included. I had no issues with the silicone holder. This product exceeded my expectations for the cost. I would repurchase this item for future projects.

Easy to use
I was almost afraid that these were going to be hard to make but they were a breeze. I have used this brand before for smaller sizes but needed large ones to place on a Victorian dress I am making. Very pleased with the results.

Great value and added bonus for buying in buik
They worked great and far cheaper than what you get in a fabric shop - I was re upholstering a antique, 3 piece couch and needed over 100 - so buying in “bulk” a Godsend - photo below is just ONE section of the couch ❤️

The pusher might as well be a milk cap.
The buttons work ok. The pusher they came with was trash and cracked on the first mallet whack. It literally could have been a milk cap and been stronger. Fortunately, my husband had a large metric ratchet bit that fit it perfectly and he was never going to use, so that’s now part of the kit. The backs don’t stand up well when using especially heavy upholstery fabric, so a few of those have been ruined while the button fronts remain. But, there are 50 of each, so it will be a bit before that becomes an issue, at least for me. If you have a press, rather than a milk cap and a mallet, everything should be fine.

Easy kit to make quality, self covered buttons
Easy to cover buttons. Good quality. Strong. I waited to review these self cover buttons as I wanted to know how they would cope with everyday use and regular laundry and so far so good, no problems with the back loosening or discolouration. Very happy
