OMG! ARE YOU A CRAFTER? I have been crafting for over 35 years and I’ve always used a hot glue gun that was attached to a plug in cord. It always required some logistical planning depending if there was an outlet nearby and where the project was located. This cordless hot gun hot gun is a game changer. The charge was quick, the gun took but a few minutes to get hot and the battery was still strong after an hour of use. The rechargeable 18V battery and charging station was a SEPARATE purchase. I’m very happy with the glue gun as it performed exceptionally well. Very little to no excess dripping from the nozzle. I think you need one too! This is the third brand of battery powered hot glue gun I have tried in the last few weeks trying to find one that actually performs well. This one is a keeper and actually out performs my plug in model. It heated up very quickly and the glue was flowing within 2 minutes. The other two brands of the same claimed wattage took 10 minutes to heat up to the point that glue would flow and never reached the claimed temperature. This product also has a LED light indicating the power is on and it changes from a red color to a green color when the gun is at working temperature. The only improvement I would make to the product would be to add a white LED that would illuminati the work area. (This was a feature one of the other products I tested had.) I have only had this hot glue gun for a few days so far, so I can't report on longevity yet. But I do use a hot glue gun fairly often and will update this review if I come across issues. So if there is no update then it's still working great.

This is a cordless tool that fits the dewalt 20v battery perfectly and works great. It last quite a while and functions as expected. It occasionally has a small drip after using and takes a few minutes to get hot enough, but is great once it does. I wished it was a continuous feed when the handle is pressed, but I do appreciate the large handle and not just a finger trigger. It does start to smoke a bit after it is fully heated, but overall, a great tool for the money.

This appears to be a good value item. It should be noted that the battery is a little more finicky sliding into the slot than a standard Makita tool, however, that is to be expected. Additionally, the nozzle tips can be removed if needed and replaced with standard hot glue gun nozzles.

I recently purchased this to hang some solar lights out in the yard I wanted to more permanently affix. I have a pretty nice hot glue gun I use for other things but it's plug in and this was fairly inexpensive and perfect for not having to run a long extension cord (and I like tools...). I wasn't invested in Red when I bought the original glue gun. Manual says wait 3-5 mins. Glue was hot and ready to go in about 1.5 mins. I probably glued up 10-12 string lights and didn't dent the battery so not huge draw. Orifice same size as my high end gun. I dinged it on weight just so you don't think this will be as light as a plug in gun but I actually prefer the heavier weight with the battery and you can easily just set it down, stands up and won't go anywhere (lighter weight plug in guns tend to get twisted by the cord and fall over). I'm sure this will replace my other glue gun 97% of the time. The only thing I really can't comment on is the quality of the glue sticks. They worked fine for what I was doing. I bought my other glue gun to make hardboard templates for stair skirts, tiling etc. to glue the hardboard together and transfer measurements. I did have to upgrade my glue sticks to something more construction grade for that application. Definitely recommend.

It works well plenty of glue. You could probably burn through a glue-stick in 30 seconds if you wanted to. Its great for the price. It took right at 3 min to heat up. With a dewalt 5ah batter this thing would probably run 3 or more hours. I tried it with a powerstack and it worked well. I ran it for 40 minutes and still had 2 bars. I thought it might be a little too big and uncomfortable to use, but the size is great. Cordless is wonderful, and seems safer than corded. The color is good.

Absolutely recommend. Heats up fast and gets plenty hot. Can pump through glue sticks one after another. Why doesn’t Milwaukee make this??

Works like charm, price is right and overall a very good addition to the toolbox. The fact I can use the same batteries as my other tools is the highest selling point. I do have another excellent glue gun but it is wired, needs a extension cord, gets in the way. since this one shares batteries with my other tools in the box it just a matter of snapping a battery and get the job done.

Great hot glue gun. Cordless is awesome.. fast to heat up and good on the juice when there..! Works seamlessly with the red batteries.. if you didn’t know you would think it was the same as battery maker … except they don’t make one..? Thankfully these guys do and here it is..! I use it for PDR glue pulling repairs.. very happy with purchase..!
