I am new to the aluminum free deodorant world. I thought about it for a long time then decided to just do it. Price and accessibility stopped me for a while. I started off with grocery store Secret Aluminum free (only affordable choice at the store) and I immediately broke out, which has never happened to me before. Could have been due to detox and adjusting, but it never cleared up while I was using it. After a few months I decided to try Ivory when I caught the Aloe scent on sale on Amazon. It calmed down the breakout. In addition, I don't feel as sweaty as I did with the Secret. There is no anti-perspirant chemical from what I can tell, that's what we're all trying to avoid. This goes on smooth, it does not burn if using soon after shaving, and lasts a long time. The smell is very light compared to what I'm used to, which is actually a welcome change. I am a daily exerciser and don't seem to have excessive B.O. afterwards, no more than usual. I see in other reviews that it is thought that Ivory is phasing out this deodorant. I really hope this is not the case. If anything, please keep making it and maybe even add more light scents. Also maybe put aloe in more scents to help with the adjustment period. I also appreciate the affordability compared to other aluminum free deodorants.

I have end stage kidney disease and have had a transplant. Trying to avoid aluminum in deodorant. My daughter and I love this brand and have used this deodorant for years. Hard to find in stores now. I decided to shell out a bit more money and get the big pack so we only need to buy some every 6 months or so. One stick lasts for a long time, for us at least. Love the lavender smell. Consistency of the deodorant is just right: not wet and not hard, goes on smoothly. Not sticky.

This has a pleasant smell . I like it better than looms and all the other non-aluminum deodorant I tried because honestly they don’t work and people stink. I normally use it at night before I go to bed just to feel somewhat fresh after my evening shower. I do not recommend it for daytime if you live in a hot climate. Sometimes you have to use the aluminum.
