You can find that by simply reading through the product description. The active ingredient is amylopectin, a simple vegetable plant product in powder form which has been found to rapidly stop all types of bleeding, even arteries bleeding. It reacts with the plasma to form a gel which rapidly thickens and clots the wounds, sealing it to stem boodflow. It is hypoallergenic, it is harmless if ingested or breathed. You'll be pleased to know that before this was discovered, the only other known source of a "rapid bloodstop" product was copious amount of cayenne powder packed into the gash or wound and pressure applied. Very painful for a few minutes, but then it became painless and it stopped the bleeding. It's am old Amish method.

The dogs had a fight in the house over a toy,  blood all over the place.  Some cleaning and BleedClot and all fixed up.  This stuff is very nice to have. I do not know of any reason why it could not be used on a nail.
