This wine and beverage refrigerator exceeded my expectations. It arrived earlier than expected and generously cushioned and packaged to ensure protection during shipping. It is exactly as pictured, well made and attractive with its sleek all white cabinet. I searched for all white free standing wine refrigerator and struggled to find . The ones I did find in white had black or stainless sides. The shelves in this unit are customizable and I love the look of the wood shelves. They pull out smoothly. The dual temperature zones are great for storing variety of beverages in addition to wine. I can not emphasize enough the excellent customer service. I received prompt answers to my many questions before ordering as well as after I purchased. I am happy to say I have exactly what I wanted in its attractiveness and quality. It’s a much needed and nice addition to my Coastal home.

This is a review of the Velieta Brand 3.2 cubic foot mini fridge, model TAYL86. This black, shiny model with the glass front looks sharp and modern. It fits nicely into just about any room without standing out in a bad way. My unit was shipped via FedEx and although the outer cardboard box had rips and tears, the inner contents, surrounded by foam, survived with zero defects. The blue LED temperature display on the front is quite bright—easy to read from across the room. Note that this is the 7-segment temp readout, not the interior light. One nice touch is that the controls are located on the OUTSIDE top of the door, so you can adjust the temperature without opening the fridge. Temperature Performance The digital display on the door does not always agree with the internal temperature, so I strongly recommend using a separate thermometer inside to dial it in properly. There is a circulation fan in the middle section, but temperatures still vary by location. The bottom stays warmest, likely because of the compressor compartment beside it. I tested the lowest setting for a couple of days and saw the center shelf (near the fan) drop to 33°F before settling around 34°F. For my medicine storage needs, I adjusted the thermostat to hold the fridge between 36°F and 46°F. All the readings below reflect that target range: • Middle shelf by the fan: 36.3°F to 37.0°F (not counting the brief defrost spike) • Bottom floor: 47.3°F to 48.3°F, average 47.7°F • Top shelf: 42.6°F to 44.8°F, average 43.4°F Within each zone the temperature stays very steady—usually swinging only a degree or two within a 90-minute cycle. That is good regulation for an inexpensive fridge. Please see the attached graphs. Defrost Cycle This model has an automatic defrost that runs every 13 hours. It lasts about an hour and causes a short temperature and humidity bump. Water evaporates from behind with no external moisture or mess. Average relative humidity stays around 60%. Other Details The condenser coils are hidden in the sides, so you can slide the unit right up against a back wall. The outer walls get warm but never hot, good for under-counter use as long as you leave a little room for airflow. Noise level measured 43 dBA at one meter from the door center. All I heard was the relaxing sound of the fan. It is quiet, perfect even for a bedroom corner. Current draw at 120 volts was 0.8 A with the compressor running and a bit of a power factor. The compressor starting current spiked to 7.6 A briefly. This means that, while it uses relatively little electricity, you need to plug it straight into the wall socket or use a short, heavy-gauge extension cord to handle that startup bump safely. Final Thoughts I am pleased with this fridge overall. My only real wish is that the air circulated a little better for more even temperature distribution. This is probably the norm for something as small as 3.2 cubic feet. The dazzling display could be a minor annoyance if you are sensitive to light at night, but it is not a deal-breaker. It appears that it would struggle freezing the contents, so as long as it never turns my medicine vials into Popsicles, I can recommend it for insulin and other temperature-sensitive medicines. With a 2-degree swing, it should also work well for wine storage.

This company has incredible customer service. 5 Stars level service. They are super responsive and really work hard to make their customers happy. The unit itself is well made and very quiet once properly level. However, buyers with large wine collections need to understand that unless your bottles are exactly the size stated (2.75" x 11.8") you will get about half the rated capacity. Of the 150 bottles I had, less than 10 actually fit. Do you have: Pinot Noir, Rhone Reds, Chardonnay, Sparkling wine, Zinfandel, or any New World premium Cabernet, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Bordeaux Blends - they won't fit between the shelves. The design has two major flaws that they introduced in order to maximize space for the bottle size they target. Shelves are too close together vertically so that you can't really fit new world premium red bottles in without scraping the labels. Pinot, Chard and Rhone - not even close. Second, the slats in the racks that are made to drop the bottle down so it doesn't scratch and hold it are too close together. The results are racks that hold a maximum of 5-6 bottles just barely. See attached images: 5 fit and you can cram in 6 but typically that sixth bottle will not allow the shelf to slide. The description says the shelves/racks are "adjustable", but they are actually "removable". Their solution is to remove a rack and use a double stack. That solves the height issue, but the slat spacing makes it impossible for a fully loaded rack to be stable. Instead, you get 8 on the base level for Pinot style bottles with 4 on top for a total of 12. For Cabs you get 6 on the base with 3 on top for a total of 9. You can cram a bottle or two on the sides but they are not stable, so beware when pulling out the heavy double stack shelves. See images for these configurations. As stated customer service was great. I contacted them with my concerns and they responded quickly offering a discount and also sending me a second small refrigerator that holds 18 bottles. That was really great service and I would recommend Velieta as a company any day! Given the limited capacity for most of my wines I had to rate it 4 stars. 2 star for capacity design and 5 stars for customer service and unit. They try really hard to make you happy and their product is nice, but I think they would have a much better, more useable product if they sacrificed some small bottle capacity for real world bottle sizes. Or they truly had the ability to adjust the shelves. My recommendation is check your wine collection bottle types and sizes carefully. If you are mostly New World wines with any Pinot and Chard style bottles, you'll get around 100+- bottles in this unit.

Bought this beverage cooler for an under counter install in an out door entertainment center. I liked the great look of the stainless-steel finish which complemented the adjacent stainless steel-appliances. The cooler delivers in keeping all the beverages, both canned and bottles, at peak temperature. With 3 adjustable shelves, and a great storage capacity, it's easy to store whatever combination of colas, beer, etc. that you have. Especially like the LED touch control bar in the unit; makes it easy to raise or lower inside temps as needed, based on the product being refrigerated. The interior's blue light control makes it easy to find the beverage you want without turning on ambient lighting. Since the cooler is in an outdoor entertainment center, we were initially concerned about noise level. Not a concern anymore. Cooling fan is whisper quiet and does not interfere with conversations. All and all, very happy with this purchase. Tags all the bases for me; good appearance, large capacity, versatility in beverage sizes, great temperature control and low noise. To add to my satisfaction of buying this cooler, I recently had to contact Customer Service to replace a circuit board damaged by a small reptile which had found its way into the rear of the unit. Their responsiveness has been exceptional. I would definitely buy again.

We ordered the refrigerator in early November. After looking at beverage refrigerators in the stores and show rooms that were 3-4x as expensive as this one, and reading many, many reviews, we chose this refrigerator, in part, because we liked the two doors, two climates, and the positive reviews regarding customer service. After reading reviews on multiple sites, about multiple brands of refrigerators (many much more expensive than this one) it seems they all have potential for failure issues, so picking one with a good customer service seemed very important. The service team emailed throughout the process with helpful instructions. Upon arrival, it was packed very, very well, and was also quite heavy. When we unpacked the fridge, the top of the fridge had a bump on it and one of the fridge doors was subsequently sitting lower than the other. The service team sent new hinges, which we installed to help align the doors a little bit better. I also appreciate the service team making this right with their prompt responses. The beverage fridge looks great, works great, and holds the temperature on both sides well. A friend suggested always keeping these fairly full of cans/wine so that the fridge doesn't have to work as hard to keep an empty space cold. It looks very nice, the blue lights are a cool feature, and it is QUIET! (Many reviews of other brands noted loudness). We are pleased so far.

Extremely Disappointed – Failed After Only 2 Years I would not recommend this wine cooler to anyone. I purchased the Velieta KMYL30 about two years ago, and just last week it completely stopped cooling. The fans still run, but the unit no longer cools either zone. I called a professional appliance repair company to diagnose the problem. The technician determined that the compressor has failed and needs to be replaced. The estimate for parts and labor is $1,884—which is about $1,000 more than I originally paid for the wine cooler. At that price, repairing it makes no financial sense. A wine cooler is a major purchase, and I expected it to last much longer than two years. A compressor should not fail this quickly under normal use. It's extremely frustrating to have an expensive appliance become essentially worthless after such a short time. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend the Velieta KMYL30. The product has been unreliable, and a major component failed far too soon. I expected much better quality and durability.

Purchased this indoor/ outdoor under countertop refrigerator for our covered outdoor kitchen build. We wanted a stylish dual zone unit that could handle near ice cold drinks and a separate zone for wine. This unit was just what we wanted. Installation and set up was super easy with the attached 3 prong outlet on a dedicated GFCI circuit for our outdoor island. The appearance of the unit and build quality seems very good, with the facing in trimmed stainless and glass front doors. The dual zones have independent temperature controls making it easy to store wine and drinks on either side. I had a few questions for the technical support team and they were very responsive in a timely manner.
