Gekauft habe ich den Schleier für Tierbeobachtungen und zur optischen Verschleierung von mir selbst sowie meiner Ausrüstung. Die Bezeichnung „Scharfschützenschleier“ halte ich zwar für etwas übertriebenes Marketing, am eigentlichen Einsatzzweck ändert das aber nichts.Das Material ist recht steif, raschelt kaum und hatte bei meinem Exemplar nur einen geringen Eigengeruch. Durch die Maschen lässt sich gut sehen, ohne dass man ständig das Gefühl hat, hinter einem Vorhang zu sitzen.Trotzdem würde ich empfehlen, den Schleier vor dem ersten Einsatz gründlich auslüften zu lassen. Gerade bei der Tierbeobachtung kann selbst ein leichter künstlicher Geruch schnell zum Nachteil werden.Als Schal ist das Material für meinen Geschmack zu steif und zu künstlich. Als Tarnmittel erfüllt es seinen Zweck jedoch ordentlich – und schließlich soll es tarnen und nicht auf den Laufsteg.

This camouflage sniper veil/neck rag is fantastic. I keep it tied to the top of my buttpack with shock cord and use it for camoflaging positions and equipment. The camo patterrn is so effective that I could not find my belt geat once for 3 days. When I treat it with permethrin, the tics avoid it. Good quality. Camo is on one side only (I got the afg) other side is a tan. Light and soft. Exactly what I was looking for.
