A REVOLUTIONARY, EXTRAORDINARY PRODUCT IN ITS CLASS
For all people with thinned skin, including most of the elderly, those who have been on chronic steroid therapy, as well as hypersensitive skin, allergy to latex, this tape is truly unbelievable. I am speaking from the perspective of both a physician and an older patient himself, whose skin has been ravaged by chronic steroid medication making even paper tape significantly problematical. This tape can really be applied with impunity, and it adheres readily and durably. With even a modicum of care in gentle removal, I have never torn or even bruised my skin. The same area of skin can be taped repeatedly with the same results. It adheres well to dressings, and also to itself, if length need to be augmented. Removal of the tape is essentially pain-free, if done carefully, of course. It is sold in both 1” and 2” widths, although the latter, less commonly used, may be somewhat difficult to locate in routine retail locations. It is relatively easy to tear off the roll but does require a little more effort than paper, but less than many standard dressing tapes. It is relatively impervious to water, and if dried immediately, can even be worn in the shower, if the tape be well adherent to the skin at the time. I have truly found it a product a long time in the coming, and almost in the realm of the miraculous. I have used it now exclusively for about two years, intermittently, on from minor abrasions/lacerations to more complex wound care associated with more significant skin injuries, as well as postoperative dressing care. It is more expensive than the spectrum of the various standard surgical adhesive tapes, but not inordinately so. I would say that this tape is targeted, most optimally, for a specific large class of patients, as aforedescribed, rather than the general public where cost benefit value may make purchase less directly sensible for those on a stringent budget. The product is so revolutionary that, with its wide spectrum of positive attributes, it may well be the standard for the future. With increased sales volume, and likely, the advent of competitive similar products from other companies, the price will inevitably fall. Bottom line: AN ABSOLUTE, RAVING BUY for all people with thinned, damaged, very sensitive skin. BEST MOUTH TAPE AND REUSABLE FOR A FEW TIMES
This is by far the best tape we have tried for mouth taping at night to prevent apnea and snoring. We have used it for several years. Easy to peel off in the morning with no skin irritation at all. Be sure not to have any skin care products on either your face or hands when applying. If you are careful, you can reuse the tape two or three times. Just wind it back on the outside of the roll in the morning. Try not to touch the adhesive to keep it strong and fresh. It is important to not let your mouth hang open at night as mouth breathing causes apneas, snoring and going into the sympathetic nervous state (flight or fight). We use two vertical pieces for reliable results. There are plenty of videos on the web about the subject if you want to know more.

Gentle on the skin.
Very gentle removal. It works very well for mouth breathers who use a CPAP.

NexCare Tape for Mouth Taping (as recommended in Breath by James Nestor)
I first learned about using NexCare tape for mouth taping through James Nestor’s book Breath, where he explains the importance of nasal breathing and how simple tools like this can make a big difference. I’ve been using NexCare tape every night for the past three years, and I’ve never felt the need to try anything else—it just works. The tape is gentle on the skin, stays in place throughout the night, and helps ensure that I breathe through my nose while sleeping. For anyone curious about improving their sleep quality or exploring the benefits of nasal breathing, I highly recommend trying this simple method. It may seem unusual at first, but the results speak for themselves.

Great choice for those with sensitive skin.
These do not irritate my skin. They stick where you need them to, without having to harshly peel them off. The tape rips easily when taking some off the roll. Overall, a solid tape for those with sensitive skin.

Gentle mouth taping
Update from previous review: almost done using this roll. Such a gentle tape for mouth taping from mouth breathing at night. I started a facial routine with serum and moisturizers at night. This tape is so gentle, it will pick up the facial product and the tape will not stick. That’s the only downside so far. I have to get a new tape in the middle of the night. Still a great product though! Initial review: Have made many different purchases to mouth tape over my sensitive skin, and this one seems to be the best so far. I put on my moisturizer/skin routine about an hour or more prior to taping my mouth so the tape sticks. In the morning, I saturate the tape with hot water and slowly peel it off. My skin still feels a bit raw afterwards, but not as terrible as it has been with other tapes in the past. I’ve been using this tape every night for about a week and the mouth breathing/mouth snoring has improved a lot. I still snore through my nose, but not nearly as much as I used to, and my sleep quality seems to have improved.

Best Mouth Tape
This is the best mouth tape remaining on the market, but since it was not intended as mouth tape, it requires a simple modification for it to work right. There is a risk in taping one's mouth, if one unexpectedly needs to be able to open it suddenly, whether for extra air or upon coughing up. Stick the piece to be used to your forearm, press it securely into place, and remove it. Repeat this three times to reduce the adhesion before placing it over your mouth. It will still stay on all night, even after being removed and replaced more times than you will need. Also, fold the ends of the tape onto themselves to make little tabs that do not adhere and are easier to grab when you need to remove the tape.

Excellent tape for sensitive skin
My main purpose in buying this tape originally was for mouth taping at night so that I would breathe through my nose rather than my mouth. I had tried special products designed specifically for this purpose, but they weren't effective for me. I saw that someone had suggested this tape for mouth taping, and after experimenting with it over time, I have a regular nightly routine. The tape can be pulled off in the morning without hurting the sensitive skin near and on my lips. I buy it in multipack quantities. It sometimes becomes more scarce on Amazon but it seems to be back to its normal supply now. It's very good quality and easy to use.

Uhm, gross? Came loose in a bag, no packaging.
It does NOT come like the photo, in proper packaging branded as Nexcare. I got two loose rolls of medical tape. Not even in a bag inside of the shipping bag, just thrown in there. Super gross, I will not be putting this on my face (bought for mouth taping). This is an instant return for me. I can't believe a reputable company would ship it like this.

great for mouth tape, soft and effective
I’ve used this blue medical tape for my mouth tape routine, and it's been pretty good. This is my second purchase, and I find it gentle on my skin—it doesn't pull aggressively. I saw it on TikTok, so while it's been working for me, just keep in mind that it wasn't recommended by a doctor.

It does not stick to hard to my skin
This is an excellent tape if one is required not to adhere to the skin like (say) a band aide. This tape can be easily removed by gently pulling from one corner. I use it (at night) for sleep apnea and bruxism and it works perfectly. I have to wear a double mouth guard at night and it tends to allow my lips to part when I'm asleep. The Nexcare tape keeps my lips together, making me breath through my nose. This prevents a dry mouth and throat which can wake me during the night. I suggest anyone who has dry mouth at night should give this tape a go... It is cheap and very easy to use.
