Kodiak Cutting Tools 4J-518Y-JQ3L USA Made Carbide Bur Set on 1/4 Shanks, Assorted (Pack of 10)

I debated hard between getting this US made product vs a cheaper similar import brand. Happy to say that I have been very pleased with the Kodiak. They are very sharp, high quality, and a pleasure to work with.

I've done a fair bit of grinding with 4 of these bits on mild steel and cast iron. They have worked perfectly and so far I only have a few minor chipped teeth from the cast iron on one of the bits. They chew up material pretty good but they can chatter if your angle isn't right. Also they don't shed shavings entirely so you will have to give them a once over with the wire brush when you are done. They do clean up really quick and easy though. All in all an excellent set of carbide burs.

I have a fabrication shop and we do alot of stainless welding. I have tried every bur you can think of and not a single one comes close to these. Using them on duplex and 316 stainless, these burs eat right through material and weld. I couldn't be any happier. Kodiak has gained a life long customer from my shop, and everyone I recommend them to.

These are the best I’ve ever used. Don’t apply pressure just let the tool do the work as you should. The price is awesome as well. Compared to Mac tools these are the better of the two

I ordered these burrs to do some clean-up work on the insides of several MGB blocks and to modify several cast iron heads and an aluminum MGB head. They work great, remove plenty of material easily, don't clog and are very easy and consistent to use. I recommend them highly! This vendor also packaged the set quite well and it arrived at my door very promptly - a good purchase to be sure!
