Did not clear the brown tannins in the pond water
This product cleared my pond water perfectly but the water remained brown. It took about three days for two bags in a 500 gallon koi pond to clear all the floating matter to where the bottom of the pond is crystal clear but the water is still brown

Excellent odor removal
Placed the entire packet in a plastic container and placed it in the fridge. Fridge is 100% odor free. Works so much better than baking soda, and you just pop it in the freezer for a few hours to rejuvenate it, so it ends up costing less in the long run.

So what CAN you do with one of those spare Amazon boxes?
I found on AMZ, an oversized centrifugal computer fan that I cut a box to fit, for use as an air filter using HEPA cloth, also from AMZ, during the fire season in 2017. Then I recently found this generic activated charcoal material, I guess in 2022. All I did was place the mesh bag over the fan intake and suddenly — my room smells better.

Put in pond waterfall weir
It is a perfect extra filter to put in top of waterfall.. refined filtration and water is beautifully clear! Will buy again.

Does not work in Lomi to absorb odors
This may work well keeping aquarium water clear, but it does not absorb odors when used in the Lomi. I know this is an "off label" use, but mentioning it so others don't waste their time and money.

Very pleased with the customer service. Purchased the activated charcoal and received a call within a day or two of ordering from the seller letting me know they’d forgotten to include the mesh bags, and would I prefer to return the order and have them fulfill it properly or was it all right to forward the mesh bags. A small order but taken seriously by the seller and a happy customer who will order again from that company.
