Good value for money
Good quality dowels that can be used for crafts. I used these for a montessori baby mobile. These were the best value for money ones

Strong Dowels

Multiple uses, good price for a decent quantity
These aren't hugely strong but have multiple uses. I made my wife a medal rack using a quantity of them and some pallet wood, for Christmas. And as a kite flyer I made my first prototype string winder, again using pallet wood, and adding some bearings of the appropriate size. The wood is easy to cut and so long as it isn't put under too much pressure it doesn't bend excessively. Good for small projects requiring round battens and well priced.

Great purchase
Arrived fast. Item was described as seconds but they look perfect to me. Very reasonably priced. Lovely smooth pieces of dowel and exceeded my expectations.

They are 9mm, not 10mm
Not really 10mm Please see photo of one in a 9mm drill bit gauge (next to a 9.5mm hole that it goes through with a gap) Also, with a Vernier gauge

This purchase was very promptly dispatched. The quality of all these dowels is excellent, lovely and smooth, true in shape and length. I have not used any of these but I bought them specifically to build a wooden toy for my granddaughters and I have no problem with doing this. Very pleased, and I would recommend this seller.

Not 10mm! Measure at 9.5mm or 3/8”
Seller advertises 10mm with a tolerance of +/-0.1mm. Tested with calipers (see pictures), all fall between 9.48mm-9.62mm. This is exactly 3/8 of an inch +/-1mm so clearly they were intentionally produced to this spec. Calling them seconds isn’t an excuse if you provide tolerances. I didn’t have time to return order something else so had to adjust my design, fortunately this is the same size as a pocket hole bit so I was able to improvise something. The quality of the dowels themselves is decent, if If you are looking for 9.5mm or 3/8” dowels then these are great for the price! Unfortunately I wanted 10mm dowels so I can’t give them more than one star. The stupid thing is they could just advertise the dowels as 9.5mm and people would buy them - I’ll be keeping the rest of these as they are perfect for making plugs for pocket hole joinery!
