So many foolish remarks…
The Slumber Bump is a life saver and it seems that quite literally, 99.9% of people reviewing the product negatively don’t understand what it’s for.1. Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) is worse on your back. Most people have a very marginal Apnea Hypopnea Index (AHI) while sleeping on their side but it can increase significantly on your back. The SB reduces your AHI by forcing you to sleep on your side through the night. Most people with OSA don’t experience OSA while side sleeping due to the position of the throat on your side.2. The idea is to train yourself with the SB to become a side sleeper. SB clearly states the intent isn’t for your to sleep with the device permanently unless the customer desires it.3. Combine the SB with a sleep dentist prescribed MANDIBULAR ADVANCEMENT DEVICE (MAD) and a reclining adjustable bed and you can CURE sleep apnea or get pretty close to it, I know because I did it.I use a Somnomed Somnodent device used by all the airline pilots with OSA. You don’t need a CPAP or BI-PAP.If you want to cure OSA or get as close as you can, do the research and find the right MAD device for your level of Apnea (light, mod, severe). Often severe OSA doesn’t respond to MAD therapy alone.Good luck!

Did not help my mild sleep apnea.
Having this thing strapped to my back and around my body only kept me awake all night. So uncomfortable. I tried a bolster pillow / firm body pillow which worked for me to keep me on my side and allowed me to change to the other side more easily than this product. I could not change sides with this thing without sitting all the way up and turning. And when I did, the belt and the whole slumber bump got off center. So I was wide awake at this point. Try a firm body pillow, one is sold on Amazon (Oubonun) for less than half the price of this product works great. It’s heavy and does not move easily but it’s easier than this thing.

Didn't work for me
This is a tool to prevent a person from turning on their back during sleep. That's helpful for sufferers from sleep apnea, whose airways can be constricted by the force of gravity if they are back sleepers. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the right result from the slumber bump, though I do think it's an ingenious idea in concept. If I fastened it on loosely enough not to interfere with the action of my lungs/diaphragm, I would wake up in the morning with the bump under my armpit, not still on my back. When I tightened it to keep the bump in place, it was uncomfortable enough to keep me awake. Might work for others, but for me it was money down the drain. Do think it's overpriced for what it is.

Disappointed
Unfortunately this belt didn’t work for me even when trying to tighten it it would turn around in the night. Wasn’t helpful for me at all.

Updated review. They shipped a replacement bladder.
8-22-22- I reached out directly to the company. They said there is a 6 month warranty on the inflatable bladder and sent me a new one that I just received. Upgraded to 4 star review.(Old review) Received this product 6-30-22 and it worked great. Way better than the tennis ball shirt to keep you on your side. Then 32 days in the blow-up bladder started to lose air. Now it goes almost all the way flat in about 2 hours. I'm outside of the 30 day Amazon return window so I'm stuck.I've reached out to the company directly during their stated business hours many times but it always goes to Voice Mail and I haven't received a return call. Their website says the air bladder has a 6 month warranty which does you no good if you can't get a hold of the company :/It's too bad because the product worked, until it didn't.

Getting a second so have front and back - brilliant product
I am buying my second! Will put one in front and one on back to precisely position myself for side sleeping. This way, no body pillow needed for my front either. This is a brilliant design as it will not let you get on your back. Yet, when you are subconsciously trying within your sleep it will not cause pain or discomfort either that would wake you as would happen with other types of products. I did not want any balls eating into my back and suddenly waking me up. This was different - this is an air cushion - somehow both firm and soft. My doctor diagnosed me with sleep apnea. She said some people find apnea goes away from side sleeping but some do not. Obviously, duh, I would want to know if I am in he first category since that is such an easy, convenient, cheap and potentially life-saving solution! The problem is I never did find out from the doctor exacty how to endure I remain on side. Foam wedges and body pillows did not help, I ended up on back, nor could I program myself to do it. This is what worked!!

Missing parts.
Paid $80 and it didn't even come with the inflatable air pocket. Returned immediately.

Not bad but needs some design improvement
I've only had this a couple nights and am still getting used to it. It's not terrible. You can't really feel the "bump" when sleeping on your side or stomach. The main question I have for the designers of this thing is -- why in the world does it have to be made of stiff, crinkly, scratchy, ballistic nylon??? I'm sleeping with this thing next to my skin, not hiking Everest in it! It needs to be soft, silent, and preferably a breathable material that wicks sweat away from the body. And by the way, yes women have to wear this thing too. The picture shows a guy with it strapped around his chest. I have to either wear it above my boobs rifgt under my armpits or just underneath them. In either case the strap should be softer and a bit more flexible since these are sensitive areas.
