Finally!!! I found the perfect flow with no noise.
So I bought 2 models. The low power and the high power. I have 2 tanks, 150 gallon 61”x24.5” and a 55 gallon 48”12”. Obviously I put them in their perspective aquarium. They’re no ultra powerful but perfect for the tanks to agitate water and move wast to the suction side of the canisters. They worked perfect for me. I didn’t want weak flow but not hurricane force either. These would be perfect for reefs. They also include suction cups and they’re magnetized. I use both but you can removes the suction cups as well. My question would be why would I do that when they’re integrated to be used together. I cannot hear these things. I tried so many others and sent them back because I hate even a hum. These are as quieter than my Fluval FX-4 which is super super quiet. I have some Dojo Loaches and they love to swim against them and do back flips. I wish my other 4 aquariums needed flow so I can get more just to see how great the water effects are in the light with no sound. . Just a note: I bought these to blow over the Fluval thermometers to keep them from giving Low Flow error codes and they work perfect. As I know that Fluval thermometers want them set at 45 degree angles and never vertical to avoid hot spots that can cause them to fail and kill your fish.

Questioning the flow rate on box
Value for the money is great and it functions as it should. I like the fact that this unit is compact, however, I question the flow rate that is indicated on this product. I dont have a tool to measure it but compared to my other power head that is rated at double the speed…..there is no way this one is doing half that. I am mildly disappointed with the product but would be willing to buy it again, BUT i would have to buy several to overcome what I believe is an incorrect flow rate on this product. Everything else about it: quality, durability, design, compact design, and price…All good high marks.

Great Product and Seller!
I had an excellent experience with the seller, AquaFocus. I purchased the hygger 1050 GPH Aquarium Wave Maker Pump, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. The product arrived on time, well-packaged, and in perfect condition. The magnetic suction base is very strong, and the pump is quiet yet powerful, exactly as described. I especially love the 360-degree rotation feature, which gives great flexibility in water flow direction. It works perfectly in my 40-gallon saltwater tank. Customer service was responsive and helpful when I had a question about installation. I highly recommend both the product and the seller.

CLEARly doing it’s job
I have just stepped foot into the world of fish tanks in my early thirties.. Having skipped the role of fish Daddy throughout my formative years, and being barely responsible enough to drink water myself let alone keep a tank of it with living beings inside happy.. So my excitement was pretty palpable now that I was adding more mouths to feed into this household. I made a cool little skull filled/fake plant garden and got to buying my African Cichlids. I got some cat fish, and even a pleco.. I went fish crazy I guess. Well, being a newcomer to fishkeeping, I made a couple rookie mistakes. You are never told that overfeeding is a thing with fish. You are never told that if you continue to overfeed, the debris will end up in the substrate and fester there. You are never told that one day, after all this overfeeding, you will wake up to a tank that looks like someone poured a shot glass of milk into. No one tells you this stuff in advance. It’s a right of passage I guess as a fish owner. …fish don’t produce milk as far as I’m aware. Anyways, several google searches, YouTube videos and forums later, you’re told to generate some movement in the water. “How do you do that?” I asked…. “ a wave generator dummy” I was answered. So I bought this guy. I set it up and figured the best route for the water to travel along the skulls, not really sure what to expect. Then I plugged it in Regret flushed over me as my milky water was teeming with bits and pieces of food being kicked up from the substrate. I thought my fish career was over. I noted that the wave generator was silent at this point, my air pump seemed to get louder for some reason but I figured maybe it’s because it’s pushing bubbles through the milk and the food filth so it had to work harder. I closed my eyes and walked away. When I returned, I was ecstatic to see that the water was actually fairly clear. On top of that, my fishes were “playing” in the current. I watched them kind of do this little dance and that’s when I knew I needed a second one. So, in other words, if I bought two of them, surely I am here to tell you it’s worth it to at least buy one. You never know, your fish may dance the night away and your tank will at least be clear as air in the process.

Moves water fairly well for its size
I use it in my water bucket for mixing up nutrients and pH balancing the water. Now I don’t have to stir constantly in between each addition of nutrients. It works great!
