Great item
My nephew loved it. Great drone

It does not work outside as it seems to have a mind of its own.
In outside conditions, it's carried away with the wind whatever you do with the controls. Even in a very mild (almost nonexistent) breeze, it does not obey the controls. This is true of indoors also, but not as bad.

Sturdy and recovers well, but overpriced for the controllability and picture quality
The media could not be loaded. I guess for 'Kids drone' this is quite a good buy or at least it would be if it was not so expensive. Yes, it has some good features, such as the build quality, a built-in phone holder to run the drone through the app and view the video etc and reasonable handling ability.Where the drone scores is that it can be set up in less than 5 minutes, even the fitted battery was fully charged and I was able to get about 5 minutes flight time before the lights began to flash. A quick landing and the already second fully charged battery went in place and off in the air again. The most I ever got was 7 minutes flight time, so this is well below spec. The controller takes 3 x AAA batteries and there were none supplied. Look,as a kids drone, you know how impatient they are wanting that thing in the air in an instant. Three included AAA batteries would have made this easier and more enjoyable and I think for £66 these should have been included.PIcture and video quality is so-so and not comparable with a smartphone and certainly not up to the digital camera specs. Again, I think this is commensurate with the target market for children, so please don't expect anything stunning or detailed.Build quality is very good. Despite some rough landings, the lightweight structure of the drone, along with the strong plastic structure seems to keep everything in place. Even the propellors seem to bend rather than break, although you do get a spare set of 2 in the accessory bag.Controllability is passable, but not that steady. Due to the low weight and lack of GPS, it will drift in anything resembling a breeze. Strong wind and it's off in an instant. and the return home seems a little risky having no GPS for guidance. In conclusion, I would say its negative points outweigh the positives, lack of controller batteries in the kit, short flying time, and poor image quality on the camera makes this little drone a little underwhelming.

A fun drone, with responsive controls and cool lights
The media could not be loaded. I'm actually more impressed than I thought I would be with this mini drone. I have quite a bit of experience recently of flying all manner of drones: toys, mini ones, sub-249g ones and more professional ones with GPS and gimbals. This one from 4DRC kind of fits between the toy and mini professional one in terms of features. As such, I would argue that you may be best putting your drone operator ID on due to having a camera on it.The first thing to point out is that you MUST press the pause/calibration button before each new flight. I didn't do this and it initially kept falling over or shot off at speed in one direction after pressing the auto take off. After pressing this, however, I've had no issues. This is really responsive to fly and looks fantastic with the red and blue lights. It seems to handle light breezes without issue and all functions on the controller work. It's easy to fly around as it should do.The camera, whilst not being full HD, is actually really quick, with a good frame rate. It's far better than a lot of camera drones that I've flown, although you won't win any awards for image quality. It's a shame this doesn't have a small case with it as it comes in disposable packaging. It does have 2 batteries though and they charge via standard micro USB cables, so no proprietary charging leads are required. The batteries claim 15 minutes of flight each, which is more than enough for this type of mini drone.Overall, I've give this 5 stars due to the overall quality and standard of flight / functions. It is a fun drone and can easily be flown at night due to the lights. In fact, I'll be taking it down the local park this evening when it's dark for some night flying.Definitely one that I can recommend.
