QUALITY FUN!
First thing I noticed about this little RC truck and controller is they handle like a dream. Very smooth to operate. "Zippy" too as my wife puts it. Easily whips donuts on the hardwood floor. Wheelies are simple enough, i even flip it sometimes attempting a wheelie from a reverse drop. Especially with a fresh set of triple A's. Speaking of, I highly recommend Panasonic Eneloop Pro rechargeable batteries for this. Definitely a noticeable difference in performance and longevity. This truck chews through alkaline batteries like crazy! Go for high quality rechargeable aaa for sure 👍 Four triple A for the truck and 4 triple A for the controller. Also this truck is rear wheel drive only so don't let the big tires mislead ya. It is perfect for mild offroad though. Asphalt parking lots that have bits of gravel and such. There is no crawler feel to this RC at all. It can get stuck via one wheel wonder in lava rock for example. Get hung up on a stick every now and then. This RC utilizes speed with the big tires to get through iffy obstacles. Challenge accepted right? Fun stuff!Keep in mind this RC is not hazard proof either. Electronics are wide open to water and dust contamination. I use mine outdoors all the time with no worries but... Just don't go mud hole romping or water puddle splashing with it.Absolutely no regrets and I look forward to many hours toying with this little machine!

Robust and agile small-scale RC
This is an incredibly fun little truck, and works very well in small, constricted indoor spaces. The learning mode can make it safe for more delicate environments, as well. The controls have been responsive so far, and trimming the device is pretty simple. All in all I'm very happy with the purchase!

you get what you pay for. worth every cent! (this is best INDOOR)
Kyosho has been doing this business a long time, and its very obvious when you hold one. This isn't some toy-store grade RC car, but the far end in high quality hobby cars. The important part of this small RC truck, is that it runs on 4 AAA batteries, and that i highly recommend top-tier rechargeable. ( en-loop pro's , Orion HV , etc...)if you use alkaline or cheap batteries, expect poor results and serious loss of performance. (note: i have used the same AAA Orion 700Mah HV-nimh rechargeable s for 3 years with no issues )upgrades are available and some are Very hard to find, if at all, but don't let that sidetrack you. This little truck isn't made from cheap plastic and takes some serious abuse without upgrades.we tie a cat toy on the back bumper and then play with the cats!Being such a small RC car, this truck is actually geared more for adults, as its precision is amazing, a skillful operator will enjoy all of its capabilities, as opposed to a younger one, who is just learning. (it has the largest STEPS in each direction of any RC car this scale. - IE; turn the wheel at 1/100 of an inch, and the trucks wheels follow)You can spend your money in many ways and this hobby will make it even easier, but these little guys (mini-Z) lend the feeling of quality over quantity, which is apparent the moment you drive it.summary,: If you get this or another mini-z, GET ball bearings, and possibly the X or Z (upgrade) motor. not much else is needed, and you'll have a small RC truck perfect for jumps and wheelies indoors, that lasts for 45 mins on fresh charged batteries.<note: the upgrade motor is less than 20 bucks and is simple to install with just a screwdriver> ( yes, they really do last that long) . plus, if you become tired of it, sell it, because they don't lose much value. (auction sites sell these USED for almost the same price as NEW )(i do wish KYOSHO of JAPAN, would consider a re-birth of this in brush-less because, the brush-less versions are are breathtaking in performance)
