The uv index in Hawaii during the summer is pretty brutal, especially in the afternoon, and I was tired of running with sunblock on. I bought this with a long sleeve running shirt and went running raw dog (no sunscreen) and it works great. Protected the neck and face It defintely wicks that moisture and keeps the head cool from sun rays. Seems to be really well made. I never thought I'd buy a neon yellow color hat, but hey this thing does the job. It does really stick out though.As far as fit goes, it fits me good, but is a little snug. I have a big head, wear a 7 3/4" hat, and don't need to use the drawstring at all. I'm sure I can pull it apart and stretch it a bit, so no big deal.Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

I'd been rocking an Ergodyne GloWear 8930 cap throughout the spring, but it doesn't breathe very well and becomes something of a sauna on hot days. This model, in contrast, breathes beautifully and protects the back of my neck from the sun. The hat and neck flap are made of the same birdseye mesh; this is totally floppy and unstructured aside from the bill. The combination of the mesh and a terry cloth sweat band does an excellent job of keeping sweat out of my eyes. The underside of the bill is grey, which is much easier on the eyes on a sunny day than the vibrant orange of the 8930. The elastic bungee means I don't worry about this hat blowing away, but it can also fit someone with an XL head like my husband. I only wish Ergodyne would come out with a version of this hat with reflective trim; the orange is plenty eye-catching during the day, but I'd love a version that would also enhance my visibility at night, which this does not.

I want to start that this cap is very lightweight and comfortable to use. This is perfect for not so tall people because of the neck sun protection. For me, I'm a pretty big fellow and it doesn't fully cover the back part of my neck.I like the bright colors and comfotability but I won't recommend it to big or tall people.

These hats are fantastic. I own 78 of these as I exercise frequently, and want to avoid the sun, so also have one for the car. I am male with a head between an adult S/M. It would be fine for someone with a small or very large head, as the elastic is good and there is a cinch chord.When I bike, they work well under my helmet (I bought my helmet knowing I'd be wearing a beanie or two under it), and protects the sides and back of my neck well. When cool but windy or rainy, I may wear a thin beanie under it to stay warmer.The first couple years I washed the hats by hand, but I just started washing them (cold) with all my clothes in the washing machine and delicate cycle in the dryer, and they come out fine with the bill maintaining its shape. But they are very easy to hand wash dry very fast hang drying.The reason I own 7 is that after exercise on trails, I shed all my layers to reduce risk of Covid and wait for the weekend to wash.

I got this for my husband while working construction. This hat provided enough shade and cooling that he wear it the entire day.

Great for anyone working outdoors. Light and adjustable for good fit.

Started buying these years ago for yard work after my dermatologist told me I was starting to get sun damage on the back of my neck. These have held up well even after repeated washings. I let them air dry. I keep several on hand as I work in the yard several days a week and it’s a whole lot cleaner to rotate them out between work sessions, especially after sweating heavily in the Florida sun. The small “string” adjuster does a decent job of sizing the hat to my head. For my needs these work well. I will continue to buy as I wear current ones out.

This hat was affordable. However, I wish the hat was bigger (ESPECIALLY THE BRIM) & that the material was a little thicker. I have a little difficulty putting it on & "centering" it. Wearing noise reduction headphones over the hat seems to "crunch" the hat down, which makes it uncomfortable while wearing it & cutting grass all day.
