I had to buy this product twice. The first time, what I received what expired. It was crumbly and difficult to use. The second time, I ordered from a different seller (My Happy Home) and what I received was A) not expired! and B) much easier to use. It glides on nicely. I'm sure if you cake it on it might appear whiteish, but if you apply lightly and rub your lips together I don't think it's noticeable at all. I can't say I've had a chance to test its protectiveness -- I don't think my lips have ever gotten burned, as far as I know -- but it seems like a good product so far!

I found this brand on my first trip to Hawaii after my lips were burning with other SPF lip products. This is thick and it does go on with a white tone but it protects the heck out of your lips! Stays on super well in water so for people out in the ocean all day it’s a plus. They also make one with a pink color that is also great but has a minty feel that some won’t like. 10/10

These are incredibly hard to use. I found them via EWG and was excited about their rating there. However, they are not useable. Biggest problem is that they are as hard as Cheddar cheese. Imagine trying to spread cheddar cheese on your lips. So you have to warm them up to make them soft by keeping them under your arm for 10 min. Don't leave them in your car because then they just melt and leave a cakey white mess. Once they do soften they still don't apply smoothly, they drag across your lips leaving uneven white patches that caused my husband to ask me if I needed to see a doctor. Suckage.

Overall a good product. I have fever blisters and this is the only thing that helps. However, I know it says the same formula, but I swear the amounts have changed. It feels like it has more oil in it and I have to constantly reapply when before I didn’t. This one melts off pretty quick.. Also the hemp or cod whatever it is is STRONG. Not hating but definitely doesnt seem like the same ingredients or measurements.

Sometimes my lips aren't covered by my hat and get too much sun. Other lip balms almost make it worse. This is PERFECT! And I dont have to reapply every 10 minutes!!!

Was very excited to try this product, with its low EWG rating (1), high SPF rating (for a lip balm), 100% mineral sunscreen content, and reasonable price per unit (compared to similar products), but it unfortunately didn’t wow me. The lip balm is thick and does leave a white cast (as mineral sunscreens should), but it’s not nearly as bad as other reviewers have made it out to be and not why I docked stars. The smell, on the other hand, is VERY strong and off-putting. You should make sure you really like the scent of hemp seed oil — or at least can stand it lingering on your lips — before you buy this. I can’t stand having this on my lips but, because I hate wasting product, will likely use this as a portable stick sunscreen until it runs out, after which I will not be re-purchasing.

Best thing for your lips in the summer!

I swear by this product. No sun gets through. Really great protection for lips. The only downside is that it It makes your lips white and it stays on for a long time.
