Lace low boot. This is a Goodyear-welted product. The upper and sole are heat-sealed and sewn together, not merely glued like many footwear constructions.
Whether you’re working, riding, or just wearing the 8761 BXB boot from Dr. Martens it will keep you protected and look completely good while doing it. This distressed leather boot has a ten eyelet lace up closure, the famous air-cushion soles, and a high abrasion, durable rubber outsole. You know they're Docs when you see the signature gold welt stitching and the trademarked heel loop. Why would you settle for anything less?

Dr. Martens is the stuff of legends. It all began near Munich, Germany in 1945 when Dr. Klaus Maertens injured his foot in a skiing accident in the Bavarian Alps. To make walking easier during the healing process, he designed a shoe with an air-cushioned sole. Using old rubber tires, he constructed soles that had air trapped within closed compartments. He showed his prototype to his engineer/inventor friend, Dr. Herbert Funck, and together they decided to develop and produce the shoes. Not only did the shoe solve the doctor's immediate problem, but it also started to sell well in Germany. By 1959 the two decided that they needed a company to produce and distribute the shoes, then called Dr. Maertens, in other parts of the world. At first, many manufacturers rejected the concept of an air cushioned sole as a short-lived gimmick. However, the R. Griggs Group, located in the village of Wollaston in England, decided to go along with the idea by creating the first work boot with the revolutionary sole. On the first of April 1960, the first cherry red eight-eyelet work boot was produced and named 1460. To sell the brand name better in England, the name was anglicized to Dr. Martens. The range was branded AirWair and the rest is history. Care instructions - Clean away dirt using a damp cloth and allow to dry, then apply Dr.Martens clear or coloured wax polish as appropriate, using a Dr.Martens shoe brush, (Neutral can be applied to all colours). Allow to dry, then buff vigorously to desired shine using a second clean Dr.Martens shoe brush. (We advise to use 2 brushes per colour, one to add the polish and the second, clean dry brush, to buff up the leather for the best results).

Love my new Dr. Martens!!
I bought these while they were on sale for Black Friday. I was worried with all the negative reviews, so I wanted to wait a while to do this review; to see how they would hold up. I've been very happy with my BXB Dr. Martens; they have held up very well through a Minnesota winter, and constant wear. The leather that they are made of doesn't seem to be the best quality; starting out stiff at first, however with constant wear it has softened while staying water resistant. I got rid of the cheap laces that they came with, and put some really good boot laces in them. Since November, wearing them for almost 4 months straight I have had no issues, and have received many compliments. As for the "Fashion Steel Toe" aspect, I dont get it, but it doesn't take away from the boots. (Just don't buy these as work boots. If you need a good pair of steel toe Dr. Martens I suggest the Leah Combat boot, they are really good Dr. Martens). Bottom line, I'm really happy I took a chance on these. They definitely have a goth edge to them that fits my style, and they are pretty solid boots.Update: I added two pictures of my BXB boots after 1 year. They are holding up for me, and I still wear them three to four times a week.

Fingers crossed
I've had these boots for a few months now, but just recently started wearing them every day. once broken in they are actually super comfortable & so freaking cute on. I'm a 9.5, but sized down with a 9 & they fit perfect. I see a lot of people writing reviews with horror stories of these boots falling apart with just a few months of wear. If that happens to me i promise to come back & edit my review, but as of right now 5 stars for sure.

Paradox
Oh man I like it... I like it, I really really like it, I think I'm gonna buy it, 'cause I really really like it. This is my 3rd or 4th pair of Dr. Marten's 8761 boots that I have purchased over the past 15 years, and each pair has lasted longer than expected. Although they are no longer made in England, these boots are still worth the price. As with all my previous Docs, they run about a "1/4 size" larger than normal. To alleviate this issue, I buy arch support insoles, which makes the boots fit perfectly. Everything's made in China - Everything's made in China - Everything's made in China - Everything nowadays is made in China!

They were finnaly getting comfortable, then my right shoe got uncomfortable
They were stiff which is understandable, since their new. I had to break them in longer than any leather boots I've owned.I've had these boots for 6 months now. They were finnaly getting comfortable, then my right shoe got uncomfortable, and i wasnt sure why.I figured i needed better arch support.I was cleaning them today, and i noticed the right outsole is ripped on the instep area. Makes me sad,but what can you do.Anyways the shoes are just a fashion statement. I love the style, but i wouldnt walk far with them. They are also not kitchen safe.I give it a low rating, because they were pricy, and they ripped really fast which is shocking. As I mentioned, before I've only owned them for 6 months. This Dr. Marten style dissapointed me. I only bought them because, Ive heard of this brand lasting up to 3-5 years.

If not for that steel toe
These were perfect, almost. Since Dr. Martens doesn't make half sizes, it's hard to find a style that fits. These seem to have the right length, may run comfortably wide, have a nice thick sole so I can wear my jeans that are too long, but that steel toe... after wearing them around the house for a while it was definitely digging a hole across the top of my foot - BEHIND where hte toes bend, and this will NEVER break in. You're stuck with that. So unless you have long toes to where the shoes bend with your foot on the leather and NOT the steel cap (which is not for safety use, so essentially just comfort lost for nothing) you may be OK. I don't know why they had to put that metal cap in.

THESE ARE BADASS
So first I want to say I’ve owned docs in the past, and breaking them in is usually a nightmare- but these with the bouncing sole are phenomenal. I wore them to work and am on my feet all day, and these are so comfy. Stiff, and but no blisters or whatever.Second, I usually wear a 7. I sized down a whole size because docs typically run a little large, so I tried an entire size down and idk if these just run slightly bigger than other styles but these fit perfect, with plenty of comfortable wiggle room.Third, I bought these “used like new” from the amazon warehouse and they were MORE THAN HALF THE PRICE AND STILL BRAND NEW. “Used like new” from the amazon warehouse happens when someone gets a product, and returns it before using it so the packaging it technically “damaged” and they have to say it’s “used.” If you have the option, try to find this before purchasing full price!!! It’s awesome and I can’t believe I was able to get these brand new for so cheap. Hope that helps save whoever is reading this some money bc I’m a poor college kid and and super thankful!!So, I recommend a size down from your typical shoe size, and maybe even your typical doc size. But honestly 10/10. I’ll update this review if there’s any issues in the future.

Not the same...at all
Super cute boots, as always, but the quality of the now Chinese-made boots has plummeted. Leather is so stiff, stitching is uneven, the sole is cut along the sides slightly uneven, the inner heel pad was coming unstitched the first day I wore them. They are now making them quantity over quality. The $120 boots probably cost $4 or less to make. These boots should be sold for $60. I don't see them lasting years the way they used to. Very disappointed to have to treat my docs with such gentle care. Oh, the irony.

Great sturdy DMs
As with all Dr Martens these require breaking in but because of the seamed toe this is a longer process than standard boots. The leather is great quality and very sturdy and the thicker soles make these a nice heavy boot.

Dr Martens 8761
I bought a smaller size than usual and it just fits fine. The quality is quite good, apart from the fact that the last used for the manufacturing is not true to size, especially if you have thin feet.

My favourite boots
These boots fitted perfectly, are very well made as all Dr Marten boots are, and are extremely comfortable. They did not need any breaking in which is unusual for a boot of this type. I thoroughly recommend them

Order a size smaller
Love the shoes, they look great and they don't slip at all on ice, it's like winter tires for your feet. They run a little large so i reccomend sizing down. They take a while to break in, i think i got mine almost two months ago and they still really hurt the back of my foot, that might also be because they're a size too big.

Great quality. Super hard to break in, (many blisters acquired,) but that was expected. Got these to wear as more of a winter boot and I'm pretty confident they'll hold up for many seasons to come

Super chaussures

Fast shipping and excellent packaging. The Leatherman tool feels very premium and sturdy.

Einmal knöcheltief im Eiswasser gestanden, ohne dass ein Tropfen nach innen gedrungen wäre. They run a little large so i reccomend sizing down. They take a while to break in, i think i got mine almost two months ago and they still really hurt the back of my foot, that might also be because they're a size too big."},{"@type":"Review","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"2.0"},"author":{"@type":"Person","name":"N***Z"},"datePublished":"Reviewed in Canada on November 16, 2019","name":"\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n Pas de l'Angleterre, fabriqué en Chine !!!!\n \n \n","reviewBody":"Bonnes bottes dans l'ensemble. Au moment où j'écris ces lignes, je les ai achetées à 143,60 euros.En provenance d'Allemagne, elles sont arrivées en 3 jours ce qui fut une surprise très agréable.De plus, le vendeur était topissime (réponse au mail dans les quelques heures qui ont suivi).Bref, transaction sans aucun problème + chaussures super = acheteur hyper satisfait !"}],"aggregateRating":{"@type":"AggregateRating","ratingValue":4.2727272727272725,"bestRating":5,"ratingCount":22}}
