This is a perfect beginner book with patterns that are progressively difficult and wonderfully innovative.

This has wonderful full color photos and instructions. The author was meticulous in her details. I was super thrilled to find a section on how to press natural items to incorporate into your stained glass projects. It’s 166 pages and has several cute patterns to use. Perfect for beginners and those like me who haven’t done stained glass in 20 years and are trying to start again. You will love this beautiful book.

This book is a holy grail as I begin my stained glass journey. There is real useful information here FAR superior to online resources like YouTube owing to her level of expertise. For example, I like Neile Cooper’s method on pattern prepping vs others- is more foolproof. As a newbie and artist - oil painter and illustrator of nature - I believe in the importance of adopting core foundational techniques properly. Moreover, I love Neile’s style - and she delves further into other concepts like using found objects within nature, 3d projects and jewelry which I dream of creating someday. I hope she will consider creating online paid courses someday, privately through her platform or skill share etc. I’ve searched high and low (NJ East Coast) and it’s impossible to find classes so I’m going down a self taught path- this book is literally a game changer and I’m actually reading it as a novel because there’s much storytelling between the technical pages!

Book was good if you are starting out. I thought that there would be patterns to do.

I’m a newcomer to stained glass and have been following Neile on IG. I was so excited for her book and it was so worth the wait! It was full of great information about everything from tools to techniques and even stretching exercises for crafters. She provided the backstory to her glass cabin and gave you a classroom like experience working through the projects she provided. I’ve always been enamored with her butterflies, so that was my first fun project for myself. Her patterns are beautiful and instructions so clear. I especially love that she called on fellow contemporary stained glass artists to offer their insight, which is so cool! I’m so glad this book is out there. I will resource it often…it’s fantastic!!!
