Good product
I love this product.I see real world write speeds of 200 MB/second. Still takes a while to transfer 2-4TB of data, but pretty acceptable speeds for video editing.I am a little concerned about how hot they get. I read other customers who said this failed on them. So when I'm not using them, I leave the power unplugged. I keep all my pictures and video of my kids and family on these. So I don't want to lose them.I think these are cheap though. So I bought two.Oh, and the blue light is super annoying. Lights up the whole room! I have these in my master bedroom and it looks like a strobe light with all the blinking when data is being transferred. Super bright LED.Overall I love this.

All that data is lost for good. Very frustrating
This is my second LaCie hard drive to just quit working. I have only had it 6 months. All that data is lost for good. Very frustrating. I have the 8TB and it will not turn on. Dead as a doornail.

This failed after one year. Unless you are storing things you just don't care about, DONT buy this hard drive.
