This device is constantly taking snapshots. I have it in my office and the flashing light on my laptop activates the camera constantly. I purchased a microSD card and placed in the unit but it doesn't seem to use it. Also, I thought it would record videos automatically, but it apparently doesn’t do that either. I have to manually click the record icon in order to get a recording, so if I’m not watching all I get is a snapshot.

I need this kind of camera to monitor my home from inside from my roommates to make sure everything is safe;I tried other cameras before and I can say now this is the good one, alerts me when detect motion and takes a photo, it has a good quality video and photo, easy to set it up and the Len is well hidden compared to other cameras I bought, you can use it as a charger, I highly recommend you this item you won’t regret.

I bought this as a gift for someone in need of watching her house while she is away. She said in order to see what happened she has to remove the chip and put it in her laptop or a reader and play back.

Love this hidden camera!!! Great camera works really good, has good image quality, doesn’t seem to appear to have a hidden camera..great for baby monitoring or just secret surveillance. It’s not to big or bulky and can even charge your phone/ phones.Even thou the only thing that it does not have night vision but still works great with good quality image.Has the option to put a SD card to have continuously recording.Wireless, works great connected to wifi to be able to view were ever your at thru the phone app. The only connection it has is the one to power it.Also from vendors side has great customer service attention, they are very attentive to help you out with any issues until resolved..If they come up with an upgraded camera with night vision I would 100 % buy it.. totally looking forward to that camera with night vision.It also includes an instruction booklet.

The device does not seem to work without being controlled from the app. Also, the changing nature of Wi-Fi router technology means that most recently-manufactured routers will have to change some fundamental settings before they will be compatible with this device. As such, this device is not suitable for quick deployment in new environments. Rate two stars because I didn't get far enough to evaluate picture quality.
