Good Switch Design and Construction
Nice switch for the price. There is an incorrect review here (for the Taiss LW26-20 0-5/3 switch) which may be for another switch in the Taiss line. This switch behaves exactly the way the diagram in the listing shows and has no internal jumpers nor are any of the terminals strapped. Individual pairs of terminals 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, and 9-10 are shorted one pair-at-a-time depending on the switch position with terminals 11-12 never being connected or affected by switch position (these are isolated and can be used as connection points). Position 0 leaves all terminals disconnected. As best as can be determined, connections are break-before-make which means one terminal set is disconnected before any other is connected (that description posted elsewhere is a bit confusing). The switch is listed to have silver plated contacts which is another plus if true. These switches are designed for heavy currents but will work for lower currents just fine. The switch operates with little effort and has clean detents for each position. Mounting is achieved by removing the knob and first panel (the one with printing). The small transparent cover and printed layer then pops out and screws pass through the holder and into bolts in the switch body section to sandwich the mounting panel (needs to be drilled with 4 corner holes (approximately 36.2mm center-to-center in a square pattern) between it and the switch body. These screws tighten and then the printed cover is replaced along with the knob, giving the mounted switch an excellent cosmetic appearance and sturdy mounting. Terminals and mounting screws are included, making this a good packaged product. There are no instructions provided with the switch itself, so the listing and the switch terminal connection diagram (shown with this review) are important to note though these can be deciphered fairly easily with a continuity tester. For this price, you get a heavy duty switch which appears to operate well and does exactly what it's supposed to do.

I bought one for a furnace fan blower project, works great for a speed switch. Seems well made for the price. Easy to connect screw terminals.

Order the right one for your application.
These are really well made switches. Just make sure to order the right one for your application. I DO NOT recommend taking it apart. I did and it will never be the same. There are some really small pieces inside. Which are in some really difficult places to reinstall and under pressure by small springs. Making it extremely difficult to put back together.
