We need these to connect programmers to our Pheonix lighting controllers. They work incredibly well for that purpose.

POLARITY WARNING A/B are not standard RS485
the product works fine. I added my device to the rs485 bus and without installing drivers, was able to read data from /dev/ttyUSB0 All is good, but look at the product specs.. it does not follow the RS485 convention of A- and B+ The labels are only A and B but in this case + is connected to A. I saw this in another review before I connected this to my 485 bus, but I'm adding this review to make sure it gets seen by others too.

A/B Labels Don't Follow Standard Convention
Underwhelmed with backwards terminal labels. Convention is that A is (-). Not on this device. Also changing port address seemed to require unplugging/re-plugging in converter. This could be a Windows issue but I'm not convinced. I'm usually a 5-star reviewer. This is functional but "meh".

I've tried several of these. About 50% dead on arrival. More failed after a short time. Look for another option.

It works but I am not impressed with the USB connector
It Works for what I bought it for (connect to Lithium-Iron BMS's like JK Jing Kong and others). I bought it because it has a cable, I didn't want the entire USB thing sticking in the computer because it was too easy to bump it when in the field. Unfortunately the USB plug is of very poor quality and doesn't sit firm in the USB connector. So it gets constantly disconnected. A higer quallity USB connector would solve this issue.
