Won't regret the decision to buy this
This thing is great. Works much much better than the tradition gravel vacuums. Its easy and I've used several times with no issues. Pvc hose is exceptionally long. Makes it great for my tank on a tank stand.

Sucks the fish tanks soul
Do you want something that’ll just work? Do you want something that’ll be mediocre at its intended function and somehow still leave you wondering if it works but yet somehow still accomplishes the task? Then look no further. Bc boy does this thing do those things. I mean, it’s a suction thingy….. if you’re not a total (cognitively disproportionate) person then you can operate this thing. Grab yourself a 5-gallon bucket, throw the hose end in it, then start sucking the water out. Personally I keep a hand on the line to pinch it in case a fish gets too close, but that’s me. Do whatever you want to do.

Only for people with tireless arms or total command over the laws of physics
Great concept, horrible execution. Either physics hates me or it requires superhuman strength to get the water into the actual tube, despite spending at least 30 minutes trying and wondering if there was some trick to it that I am simply too feeble-minded to understand. It actually worked pretty well the first time when siphoning water out of the tank, but siphoning the water back INTO the tank required me maneuvering the tube around and my wife literally holding the bucket above her head (she is much stronger than me). Just tried it again for a second water change like a week later and it straight-up didn't work. My arm is literally sore from trying to squeeze the pump trigger thing a billion times. I gave up and eventually just poured the water straight from the bucket into the tank which was a huge pain but I was fed up with trying different things like switching the hose around, seeing if the second tube fit better, using the pinching tool to physically squeeze and draw the water up through the siphon...again, I thought there must be a trick I just wasn't getting. I even looked up tutorials. While the water eventually reached the other end, it did not flow like expected and I had to keep squeezing the trigger the entire time which blurbled water out in sprays and kicked up so much sand from the bottom of the tank and now my snails are mad at me. Anyway, I'm hugely peeved off and it's too late to return this thing. It should NOT be this hard to use a product. The only good thing is the little mood-ring stick-on thermometer, that's pretty neat I guess.

Scrapper sucks but the rest is good
Works perfectly as expected but the scrapper just doesnt do well, maybe if they used a silicone top it would be better but it's like a mudding scrapper and only gets a tiny bit in random spots as you try to use it.

QZQ Aquarium Gravel Cleaner — Quick, No‑Mess Water Changes for Small Tanks
I picked up this QZQ gravel cleaner because my kids love the little freshwater tank and I was tired of sloshing water and chasing gravel with a cup. The siphon starts easily and the pump moves water fast enough to vacuum the substrate without sucking up the fish, and the clear tubing lets you see when the water’s dirty so you’re not guessing. It fits smaller tanks great and stores without taking up much space in my garage toolbox; cleanup is just rinsing the tube and it’s ready for next time. If you want a simple, reliable gravel cleaner for a home tank that the kids help with, this one saves time and keeps the water clearer between full changes.

Not great for the long run
The QZQ Aquarium Gravel Cleaner seemed like a great tool at first, but after a couple of uses, I started noticing some issues. Initially, the suction worked well enough to clean the gravel in my tank, but after a few uses, it began to lose its power. It became harder to effectively clean the tank, and I found myself spending more time trying to get it to work properly. Another downside is the pumping action. While it's supposed to make the cleaning process easier, I found it uncomfortable for my hand, especially during longer cleaning sessions. The grip isn't ergonomic, and my hand would start to cramp after a few minutes of use. It’s not the worst cleaner out there, but for the price, I expected more durability and comfort. If you only need a short-term solution, it might work, but I wouldn’t recommend it for regular, long-term use.

A Terrific Product
Really works well to "vacuum" excess food and debris off of the gravel. The trigger mechanism makes it much easier to use than a traditional bulb syphon. The include plastic tubes (2) make it adaptable for any size aquarium. My only complaint is that the included thermometer was not as pictured. It is just a mylar plastic film

Definite upgrade
This sure beats the bulb-pump siphon that I have been using. Very easy to operate and has a pinch device on the rubber outlet hose so that you can quickly pause and restart the siphon process.

Did the job
Absolutely brilliant little gravel cleaner. I already had another suction cleaner, but it was nowhere near as good as this one. This was quick, easy to use and actually picked up the dirt properly without being bulky or awkward. I originally tried a more expensive electric cleaner, but it was far too big and clumsy for my smaller turtle tank, so I returned it. This one was perfect. A few squeezes got the water flowing and it made cleaning the tank so much easier. For the price, I’m genuinely impressed. Simple, effective and much better than I expected. Definitely worth buying if you have a smaller tank.

Can be Improved
Works fine but build quality can be improved.

Works well and great price
This is a syphon system that needs a little logic to work well. It beats (hands down) sucking a tube so what’s not to like. Once the ‘trigger’ has sucked up the water to flow in to the piping it works without further need to press. This allowed me to make a concentrated effort to cleaning the gravel. I’d like a smaller attachment to get around the decorations and drift wood but the attachment works well. I also wanted to use the system to put clean water back in to the tank and once the water was higher than the tank I achieved this too. I will adapted the hose length to make this even simpler for my set up. Very pleased as it does everything I need and as a great price.
