great space saver

I bought this a year ago. Very thoughtful, space saving design, which I needed. I bought a similarly designed rack made by Marcy, on Amazon, recently. Big mistake, because the posts on it are not polished stainless steel like this Fitness Reality rack. What is the difference, you ask? If you use Bumper Plates, which I switched to at the recommendation of my Physical Therapist, the tolerance of the holes in them is much more precise and on virtually all the other racks, the posts are powder coated. The powder coating adds enough diameter that my Bumper Plates (from several manufacturers) do not pass over the posts or they get stuck on them. No one needs to be expending energy trying to put on or remove a plate from a storage rack while working out. The Fitness Reality rack has posts that are slightly less diameter in general, so everything fits wonderfully over them. If you are only using non-bumper plates, you won't notice this difference. I wish, however, I would have bought a second Fitness Reality rack.

Works well with my set of cheap Fitness Gear brand plates from Dick's, easily fits 2 x 45, 2 x 35, 2 x 25 , 2 x 10, 4 x 5, 2 x 2.5 and could definitely fit more of each size. Not sure how it would work with more standard bumper plate diameters (all of mine get progressively smaller)

Have had for three years. Used it 6 times a week for those three years. Looks just as good as new and held up well. Do not hesitate to buy!!!!!!! Best gym money I ever spent.

I purchased 2 of these, and one would not sit flat. The parts where not straight on the unit I returned. That said, the second is really stable and holds a tone of weights. The chrome finish on the weight arms will not hold up well, as after a month it is already starting to show noticeable wear, but at the price point thats just fine, as the good one I got is really stable under load. The other big downside to this is that the Barbell holder is not lined with plastic and will put wear on your Barbells. Plus, it slots between your weights, and that makes it less than ideal to store bars with curves, as there is very little space between them. I've used a several weight tree's in my life, and this is easily my favorite, but it is far from perfect.
