Best inserts, if you have high arches and want very firm support.
Of course, like shoes, which insert is best is very subjective. I have very high arches and need very firm support and these work best for me. They are somewhat rigid and thick, so if a pair of shoes is on the verge of tight, they would not fit and I order the shoe 1/2 size up. If the shoes are on the verge of loose, I get my usual size shoe. I wear an 8 1/2 or 9 wide shoe and the 9 (menโs 7) is the right size for me. These are the most rigid of the companyโs various types, so you can get something softer if you prefer. They will not fit into dress shoes- there is a thinner version for that, which I havenโt tried yet. I only need to replace them every 6 to 9 months, which is a very long time for me, since I use them every day, take long walks and stand for most of my work day. I have a pair of these in every shoe I routinely wear and move a pair to any shoes I donโt frequently wear. They have made an enormous improvement for low back, foot, and knee pain.

Lasts longer then gel insoles
I recommend these to anyone who works all day on their feet or is highly active. Good heel and arch support, I use these in my work shoes. After working on my feet for long hours I find my feet aren't extremely sore or swollen. This company does recommend replacing the insoles every 6 to 8 mths for best results.

The only HONEST high-arch support insert
I've tried several inserts ... noting that if I don't use them for my high arches, that I get plantar fasciitis very easily (excruciating!). Even the high end name brand ones don't put any extra height or support in their so-called high-arch support, but SOLE does! SOLE is the only one that I will use!

These work.
I have three pairs of these. Cheaper than custom made. (But the custom made one might be what you need.) For me these made my feet happy. They are less expensive than custom inserts.

SOLE will not disappoint. I have done the "footwork" for you. Hope this review helps you decide.
This is not my first review of the SOLE brand insoles, but I did what to point out a few things I have learned while using these over the past 3 years. First off, like any of you who are looking at insoles, you have probably tried several walgreens type Dr. Scholes style inserts with limited success. OR worse yet (like myself) spent hundreds of dollars on Good Feet or custom orthodics. So let me tell you a few things about myself, I am very active late 30's male, 5'8", 175lbs, with 10.5D sized feet. I have moderately flat feet with minimal arch which presents itself to over-pronation leading to sore ankles, knees, and hips. With the right footwear, this can be compensated for and won't usually be to noticeable, BUT like you already know, majority of footwear lacks any good arch support, especially formal or dress shoes. So once discovering that SOLE branded insoles offer far superior fit and durability than any other insoles I have ever tried, here's what I have noticed works best for me. Although I am a 10.5 - 11 depending on the footwear, I have found that the size 12 SOLE's offer the optimal arch position for me. As for thickness, my observations have led me to "black" for hiking/work boots, "red" for light hiking/active/gym footwear and "brown" for dress shoes. I can honestly tell you from hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars and years of research and experience, that SOLE is the best insole I have ever come across. I went from a early 30's active male, wondering how I can be in so much pain when on my feet, to today where I spend 8+ hours a day on my feet teaching and another 1-1.5hr after in the gym working out and running with no pain. These insoles while not super cheap, are far less expensive than customs or Good Feet, but their return policy is unsurpassed. Once you find your size, remember it may be the 12 when you wear a 10.5-11, you will not be disappointed. You then just need to decide how much cushion (thickness) you can get away with in the footwear you are using them for. Cheers. Note that I am not affiliated with SOLE or any other footwear company, nor did anyone purchase these for me.
