Use a full Size box to Install
The box I installed this in was on the small side and the #12 wires were a challenge to get them all in the box. The instructions were clear and I wanted a switch on the heater so it wouldn't come on when the weather got cold. Very efficient way to do this.

Best Choice I found, but hard to install.
It's pretty much the only choice for what it is, a combo switch and 20 amp outlet in Decora style, so if you need it, it's pretty much the one to get. My only gripe is that there is only one screw connector for the outlet and one for the switch. I wish it was backwired (there's probably a great reason why it isn't, but I'm not an electrician, and there are 20 amp outlets that are backwired). This needed to go into an outlet box with two other wires (supply and lamp circuit) so it took some work to fit all of the wires into the outlet box. If it had two backwired holes and the screw connectors, installing it would have been a snap. Again, I'm not an electrician, so it may just be ignorance on my part.

A Heavy Duty Switch and 20 Amp Outlet in one
In my bathroom, I originally had a double box containing a light switch and a duplex outlet. I needed one more outlet. Out came the outlet extender cubes and other unsightly ways to make more than two outlets.Since the circuit is 20 amps, I chose this switch receptacle combo. It was easy to install and works very smoothly. No more cubes.

Needs TR for today's code compliance
Does the job but I would like to see it in a tamper resistant style. I use it in the Garage and the inspector wants TR.

Used for dedicated treadmill circuit.
I installed this on a dedicated breaker to power a large gym-quality treadmill. The machine stays warm even when turned off, and I was concerned about my electric bill. By breaking off a tab and using a small length of wire, you can wire this so that the switch turns the outlet off and on. Fixed my worries about the treadmill using power when idle. My electrician recommended Leviton to me. The Black and Decker Advanced Home Wiring book covered everything else.

Finally a 20a version of this style of switched outlet
Took a while to finally get one of this style of switched plug to handle 20a, but this is a very nice switch and works perfectly
