Makita BL1860B 18V LXT Lithium-Ion 6.0 Ah Battery

Great product !

I use these batteries for a number of different Makita tools, but the one that’s been most noticeable is with my leaf blower. These are more expensive, as well as a little bulkier, and heavier, but for me it’s worth the added expense. If you rarely use your batteries at home, then these probably aren’t worth the added expense. If you’re using them for work, and you’d rather not have to lug multiple batteries around then it’s probably worth it. I mostly use these around the house, but I use my leaf blower to dry my car with as it doesn’t leave hard water stains, or any residual lint or dust. So been a lot more convenient using this battery for that more than anything. I have two 4.0 and one 6.0, usually around the house the 4.0 is plenty for my impact or my drill. However, I was frustrated with my leaf blower dying on me before I had time to dry my vehicle with it. This battery has more than enough power to completely finish job that the 4.0 couldn’t handle. TLDR: It’s a great high quality product. But depending on your use case it might be a smarter buy to opt for a smaller size. These are priced in a similar manner to Micro SD cards or SSD’s; as in the price increases exponentially with minimal gains (compared to x2 increases in lower tiers.)

Had been looking to buy this size of battery at the big orange hardware store for a while now. Price was a factor and Amazon had em for less than half of the other store's price. I went to the Makita site and followed the link "where to buy online" and Amazon was one of the sellers listed so I assume they are authorized Makita seller. Batteries seem authentic and work well. They do take quite a while to charge but the run time is excellent. I use em strictly for the Makita mini shop blower and the larger blower. I had read that these were no better than the 5.0 which I have, but I have to disagree......they do run longer than the 5.0. I may use them for the SPTA cordless polisher that they are compatible with. Happy with em so far.

I bought this Makita dual battery pack and I’m really impressed. The battery life is amazing, letting me work all day without worrying about running out of power. The performance stays strong, keeping my tools running at full power until they’re completely drained. Definitely a great investment if you use Makita tools and need dependable, long-lasting batteries.

As always, Makita comes in clutch. These batteries are a significant upgrade to my old 2.0ah batteries. They hold a charge for a long time and seem to give my little hand blower more punch. I'll be buying more of these for sure!

Let me start with I only use Makita Tools. I buy & date a new battery nearly every year. This I purchased a 18lxt 6.0 which I might add with extended warranty cost nearly $200. The battery I I received from Makita just stopped charging, I have 3 chargers & tried it on all 3 nothing. Contacted seller of its failing, returned battery & here is the BIGGIE they sent out a used battery with the white wax plug gone (tampered with seal) & it was filthy resealed in package to look new. It does work BUT IF it acts up after my purchased warrantee Makita will not honor it with tamper plug removed & I went this High Priced Route to avoid problems because I use my batteries heavily because I have the Makita Mower. This customer just is not very happy after spending that amount of money with warrantee for a USED Battery. Also let me say I do not like writing bad reviews on sellers but sending out a used filthy & scratched up battery for a new battery is not acceptable at that price point!! This is a revision 11 months later, with light use battery is hit & miss, continually quits every few seconds, has to be removed & reinstalled for a few more seconds

Honestly, these batteries are hit and miss the knock off batteries that have the makita name some of are junk but you can't tell they look just alike numbers everything. Also the batteries are over priced i have seen them as high as 310.00 for two 18v. Makita should be ashamed i like there tools but the batteries are iffy at best! I've had two junk batteries so far wouldn't fit the chargers or just died. That's 200 wasted dollars!

I just did a deep dive into these, and are definitely real Makita brand and not a knock-off. Yeah, they're expensive, but you get what you pay for here.

So far, it works pretty well for me, as a professional taper, these batteries combined with the Makita drill mixer allowed me to retire my corded drill

Have all Mikita power tools. They work well and their battery power last long, reliable and worth the money.

My biggest batteries to this point were four amp hour, these six amp hour batteries literally last twice as long.

Bought two 6ah Makita batteries for my lawn mower. It usually takes two 4ah batteries each time and swap once for another pair to finish my lawn. These two 6ah batteries just powerful enough to get it through the whole lawn with some energy left for me to repeat some cut for missing area. Well worth it.

The box with 2 batteries was very small, just big enough for the 2 batteries, and NO filler padding for protection. The box was dented on 1 corner, but the batteries both charged up, so at first I thought it was OK, but now that I have used it a few times, I have noticed a problem..... I have to use 2 at the same time in my mower, and I noticed that 1 of the batteries drains quick. I looked it over and that 1 has a dent on the 1 corner that matches the box. So not sure of the long term lifespan of the 1 battery that was damaged in delivery.
