Great electrolytes for a non-keto active female
I'm not doing keto, but I live a very active lifestyle and I incorporate electrolytes during long hikes or after long runs. But I'm also very careful with ingredients in products (including supplements) and Dr Berg has one of the "cleanest" formulas on the market. I also like the blend of electrolytes and the inclusion of trace minerals. Efficiency wise, Dr Berg's electrolyte powder is one of the best I ever tried. It doesn't necessarily boost my energy, but it replenishes and rehydrates after workouts, and I rarely get muscled sores or cramps. The taste is very milk, not too sweet, which I personally like; but people used with sugary drinks would probably need to double up the dosage to get more taste. I personally find that a scoop with 16oz water is perfect. It's an artificial flavor, but not in a bad day. The raspberry and lemon are quite balanced, I somehow expected the lemon to be overwhelming. It's not a delicious flavor... it's just OK. The powder dissolves rather easily, but has the tendency to settle at the bottom of the glass, so I need to stir constantly while I'm drinking. The powder also started clumping as I started using it up, I highly recommend storing it away from any moisture.

Love!
We took this along on our family vacation too and it was a lifesaver for all. Taste is great and I love that the ingredients are clean.

Sickly sweet- Stevia
Update: Once you know what to expect, it's not terrible. Just know to use less powder at first or put it in a lot of water especially if you don't like really sweet stuff. If it had 40% less sweetness, would be perfect. I'm actually going to buy another one despite my original review due to its usefulness in preventing cramps when I work out. Update: I bumped them up +1 start due to customer service. They refunded the purchase price of my order, perhaps due to my review, without me even asking. And unlike many companies on Amazon, they didn't ask me to reconsider my review- so it wasn't a refund for increasing my rating. That says something about their customer service I feel. I've had other companies beg me to give them higher reviews, incessantly, which is annoying. Bottom line there's truth in my review- some people who are ok with sweetened stuff may not have had an issue like mine. Original: Hard pass. I get muscle cramps but hate the idea of drinking Gatorade or anything with sugar that would counteract the health benefits of the exercise I just did. Also don't like artificial sweeteners- or I should say sweeteners in this case. Because this product made the true claim No Sugar and because it made the technically true claim "No Artificial Ingredients" I didn't notice that the last ingredient on the "Other Ingredients" list was stevia. Makes it sickly sweet. I feel duped even if they were technically correct. Should say somewhere "Sweetened with Stevia." I was hoping it would have more of an Emergenc-C taste.

Yeah, it works!
Well first off you get the added benefit of this electrolyte powder helping to soften the effects of your hangover. Bonus! I heard about this from a guy at the gym who is on the Keto, and since I was new to Keto I decided to give it a shot. I did first compare and secondly buy a competing brand and it is not even close. The ingredients in the Dr. Berg are a lot more comprehensive and geared toward what your body actually needs. The taste is a little salty but that is to be expected based on the ingredients. Once you take it a few times the flavor grows on you and I definitely enjoy it as opposed to just tolerating it. This Dr. Berg's Electrolyte Powder definitely lives up to the expectations. I did experience some of the Keto Flu when I started out on my diet then once I started taking this powder that all went away. I workout in the morning and this Dr Berg's is perfect for my post workout / get me through the day recovery. I am a little bit on the bigger side 6'2" 275 lbs now (started at 315) so I figured that I would need a little more than the standard one scoop serving. I started Keto to get some energy that I seem to have lost over the years and the Keto jump started that but the Electrolyte Powder put the icing on the cake. Don't get me wrong, this is by no means a magic solutions for losing weight and gaining back your energy, you need to go to the gym!!! More weights than cardio and don't skip days or cheat. Yeah that's right it is hard work and you either have it in you to make the change or you don't. All I can say is that Dr Berg's powder definitely helped me over the hump and now I just simply can't get through the morning without it. And this Dr. Berg is no one trick pony. I am 100% not getting paid anything for this review I just want to share with you that he also has a website with a bunch of useful information and videos and stuff. He also doesn't tell you there is only one way to accomplish your goals, and let's face it he is right. What works for me may not necessarily work for you so check him out and see what you can get from this guy I am sure it will be worth it. Okay by far the longest review I have ever typed, that is how much I like this Electrolyte Powder from Dr Berg. Enjoy

The BEST at its job. . .but. . . (Dr. Berg, PLEASE read!)
Honestly, you cannot do better than this electrolyte supplement. I am enjoying a ketogenic lifestyle, and I have tried many electrolyte supplements in different forms. Nothing works like Dr. Berg's! When I have a serving of it once or twice a day, I am feeling my best without any of the symptoms of electrolyte imbalance: Severe muscle cramps, constant headache, dry mouth, dry eyes, pounding heart, confusion, weakness, etc. HOWEVER, I am sad to say that I can no longer have it because of the Magnesium CITRATE in it. If you have ever done a bowel prep for surgery or for a colonoscopy, you are well aware of the effects of Magnesium CITRATE: DIARRHEA. . .or in my case. . .just smelly gas, stomach rumbling, bloating and (the WORST of all) ridiculously soft, small, narrow stools that keep you in the bathroom all day long trying to keep yourself clean (ever-constant "mess"). The Magnesium CITRATE content in this electrolyte supplement is only high enough to cause a major softening effect instead of full-on DIARRHEA. So mind you, there is no cramping, no looseness and no wateriness. Really, there is not even the natural sensation of needing to "go" or being "finished". It is simply the never-ending presence of being overly full "back there". You have to pack an extra pair of underwear and wet-wipes everywhere you go, and you learn to walk quickly with your backside tucked in most of the day (do not dare bend over!). *sigh* If you suffer from constipation, this electrolyte supplement may very well be the answer to your prayers. But for the rest of us out here who do not, I am asking. . . Dr. Berg, PLEASE switch the Magnesium source in this electrolyte supplement to CHLORIDE or LACTATE or MALATE or TAURATE or ASPARTATE or AAC!!! I really want to be able to have the great effects of this electrolyte supplement again. And yes, I have ruled out everything else that could be causing the above problems. When I stop using this electrolyte supplement, it takes a couple of days for my digestive system to go back to normal. One-by-one, I slowly add back in any remotely possible offenders. Everything stays normal until the day I use this electrolyte supplement again. Then there is an almost instant return of the above problems, which only become more and more frustrating until I stop using it again. Fixing this issue will stop my search for "THE PERFECT" electrolyte supplement. Dr. Berg, PLEASE read! Thank you. :)

Great taste. Divide into multiple bottles…
I love this stuff it tastes amazing… I personally wish it was a tiny bit sweeter. If you have issues taking electrolytes, divide it out into multiple bottles like I do - that way you don’t overload your system. Love y’all!

****DANGEROUS PRODUCT****ER 2X IN 1 WEEK
I wish I had read the one star reviews before I started taking this. If you are low normal sodium blood levels and you take this, the high dose of potassium will plummet your sodium levels. I had two trips to the ER for very low blood sodium. The first time, my limbs got heavy, I was clammy, and my heart was racing. I went to the ER later that morning as I didn't feel well. My blood sodium was down to 131 (should be 136-144). Without any advice from the ER doc, I kept taking this but only 1/2 scoop, not realizing it was the cause. Six days later, I was sitting in a chair, my arms and legs starting tingling and within 15 minutes they were completely numb and paralyzed. Thank god my husband was home and called the EMTs. I had to be carried out of the house and into the ER by the EMTs. My blood work that day showed by sodium level had dropped to 130. You can die if it gets down to 125. So please do not go through what I had to go through, it was the worst thing that's ever happened to me. I eat low carb, cook all my own food (no processed) and added this and it resulted in this. As an RN and a biochemistry person commented here, this is a delicate balance (sodium to potassium) and you really should not be messing around with it. Stopping this supplement has probably saved my life. I'm glad I made the connection. Please be careful.
