Khanka Hard Travel Case replacement for Nintendo Entertainment System NES Classic Edition Mini Controller

You want a case for the NES Classic or SNES mini...THIS is the one you want. To answer the most popular questions: YES it holds either system. The SNES mini (2018 model) does fit in this, I admit, it is snug, but not in a harmful way. The two controllers fit on the side. And there's plenty of room in the top mesh for all of your cables, wall wort, and if you have cable extenders, you can fit those in there as well. I have a total of 40ft worth of cable extensions up there along with all the other cables and the case still closes perfectly without stress or strain. Yes the outside of the case is hard so there's plenty of protection. No, the case is not fire proof. I do not know if it is water proof, it should hold up in a downpour for a couple minutes without a problem, but I didn't take it to the local swimming pool to test, so assume it is not water proof. Overall, I am very pleased with this case, it surpassed my expectations. The only little nitpick I have about it is I wish the carrying handle was a little bit longer.

Of all the cases I checked, this is the best, this is the only one I found out that has a specific space for the controller cables, since they lay flat in one space, therefore the cables can be easily arranged in the space next to it. In all other cases you must arrange the controllers vertically, hence the cables are pushed down when you close the case. I wasn't going to risk their lifetime with a case like that. I am also able to fit the AC connector in the cables slot since it is small. In the top area I am able to fit two cable extensions for the controllers and the AC cable, probably a small HDMI cable as well, I carry a very long one so I prefer to carry it apart. I love this case.

Top quality and looks really nice. I travel a round the world and with the case I can take my NES classic safety with me.

Love this thing!! I love being able to properly store all components of my NES classic for a good price. All of the original components fit inside as well as two 6-foot extension cords. You could probably fit two 10-foot extension cords in this case as well. Being able to keep everything organized in a zip up case is worth the $18 for me. Also the way the controllers fit inside is excellent because no pressure is put onto the area where the controller the cord meet, which if you have an iPhone charger...you know what I mean. Highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to store or travel with their NES classic

Nice case. Fits perfect. Good price for the value. Roomy and seems like it should last with basic care. If I had to pick one thing to improve it would be to use a material that cleans easier. The cloth attracts dust. Item arrived fast with nice packaging. I’d buy again.

First of all, I was NOT paid for this review. I purchased both of these cases on my own and paid full price. The reason I decided to purchase these cases vs others was because of the way the controllers sit. Most of the other cases I looked at had the controllers stored upright, which would put stress in the cable when the lids were closed. These cases solved that problem with the controllers being stored flat. All the cables fit nicely in the case, along with controller extender cables that I purchased separately. The Khanka case made for the NES mini is slightly smaller than the SNES version. Also, another difference to note is the mesh pouch in the top lid area. The NES version is not zippered, the SNES one is, which I find better. If you're looking at whether this case can accommodate the SNES version, based on other reviewers experience, it can, but it's a tight fit. You're better off buying the one specifically made for the SNES. I had to search "Khanka SNES case" to find it; but listed as a case for the Japanese famicon console instead. Outside of the case is plain black, no company logos except for the zipper pulls with the name Khanka on them. These are well built cases and I'm glad I bought both of them. My consoles feel very well protected and now make it super easy to tote around to a friend's house. I subtracted one star only because upon arrival, the foam inside had a terrible smell (almost like cigarette smoke?). The cases were brand new and not used, so it must be where the foam was manufactured. I was worried that the smell might transfer to my consoles. For now, I've left the lids open in an attempt to "air it out". I will update this review if the smell goes away.

This case was perfect for the mini NES system and 2 controllers with the cords to hook up. We take the system between the house and camper so this is perfect to store and transport between and keep everything in one place and organized! It was a great value for the quality also!

It said for an NES, but it should've said "mini NES" because I need one for the original BIG old school NES gaming system, so I was disappointed when I opened it and saw it didn't fit my system.😭
