Great Movie (RIP Tupac)

Great movie we enjoyed it. A must watch.

All Eyez On Me is about mythologizing Tupac. For instance it starts with a black nationalist speech and then flashes back to 1971 when Tupac’s mom was a Black Panther and freedom fighter. The movie deals with his childhood, his relationship with his mother, his music career, and especially all the controversy that surrounded him. Like any musical biography it also includes plenty of his songs. DemEtrius Shipp Jr does have a resemblance to Tupac and Danai Gurira plays his mother as a fiery character. They had one scene about Tupac losing it when he was with Death Row but then it drops it because again this is about praising Pac. I think that was a missed opportunity to give a well rounded view of the man. That made All Eyez On Me good but not great.

I really enjoyed this movie

I have to admit, “back in the day” the only thing I knew about Tupac was what I saw on the news and in the tabloids. While others – perhaps diehard fans – have dismissed this movie, I found it to be a good introduction and motivated me to dig deeper into his career and personal life. I didn’t realize his parents were so politically involved, nor did I know Tupac attended a fines arts high school, and later made several respectable films. He was obviously a bright and talented person. Yes, he came across as controversial, but maybe it was more for how he said things, and not what he said. In other words, some of his valid messages may have gotten lost on the messenger.As for the film, I thought Demetrius Shipp did a good job. His resemblance to Tupac is uncanny and there were a few times I had to remind myself that I was watching Shipp, not Tupac. For me, the movie helped shed light on many events in his short life. Particularly revealing – how accurate, I don’t know – were the scenes with his parents. His upbringing sheds light on why Tupac become the person he was. The portrayal of East and West coast rap stars of the day seemed well thought out and well cast. For example, the actor cast as Suge Knight was a good call (imagine a bio-pic about Suge!).Tupac seemed to be one of those whose light burned brighter and faster than most. Like a comet, it lights up the sky for a brief time and then is gone. In his short life, he saw many things and did many things. Diehard Tupac fans might know all the deficiencies of this movie, but for those who want an introduction to the man and his motives, this is a good place to start. It certainly opened my eyez!

Der Film und die Darstellungen des Hauptdarstellers sind sicherlich eine akzeptable, teilweise sogar gute respektable Leistung, auch wenn der Film sich nicht an jedes kleine Realitätsdetail halten konnte. Es ist ein Film, der eine wahre Geschichte erzählt, jedoch nicht die realen Abläufe zu 100% übernehmen muss. In den Grundfragmenten stimmt es aber. Kommen wir nun zum Ende: Dieses ist zu kurz und zu kommerziell geraten. Es ist verkitscht und verharmlost die Tiefe und die Tragik dieses Ereignisses. Die Wahrheit über die Drahtzieher des feigen professionell-militärisch organisierten Mordanschlags kann man nur in dem Schluss-Song heraushören. Es wird ein plumpes Ende des Films gezeigt, nicht wie der Hauptdarsteller ins Krankenhaus gebracht wird, wie sich sein Zustand trotz der schweren Schussverletzungen besserte und wie man ihn schließlich im Krankenhaus heimlich "um die Ecke" brachte durch Beimengungen in i.v. Infusionen. Weder Anderson noch Bad Boy hatten direkt was mit der Tat zu tun, obwohl "Puff Daddy" vemutlich mit drinsteckte durch Verwandtschaft. Tatsächlich waren es korrupte Polizisten und Doppelagenten (die Wrights und ähnliche Unmenschen, Snoop's Cousin und Suge-Knight-Gegner innerhalb des Death Row Musik- und Geldwäsche-Labels mit Beziehungen zu korrupten Cops aus Compton, LA und anderen Kriminellen in Las Vegas und im Geheimdienst) die diesen Meister-Mord organisierten, vertuscht von einflussreichen Cops, die den Fall nie aufklären wollten, weil sie selber mit drinsteckten, und einem korrupten Anwalt. DAS hätte der Film zeigen MÜSSEN. Wie korrupt das ganze System war und ist. Aber das wäre ja politisch inkorrekt und böse böse. So ist es nur ein guter Film mit einem 0-8-15-Ende ohne Sinn und eine Beleidigung für denkende Menschen. Aber die meisten Zuschauer werden sich daran wohl nicht stören und werden weiterhin daran glauben, dass ein lächerlicher und vor allem von am Tatort der Schlägerei anwesenden Strippenziehern inszenierter "Kampf mit Orlando Anderson" (ein Lockvogel und vermeintlicher Alibi-"Killer") zu dem (in Wirklichkeit von höchsten Organisationen in Auftrag gegebenen) Profi-Mord führte, mit dem dieser Film endet. Naja. Es ist eben ein Film für den Mainstream, wenn auch ein eigentlich guter als Gesamtwerk - das Ende mal ausgelassen. Aber wer glaubt, dass dieses "Problem" der Menschenschlächterei nur Schwarze angeht (seit Martin Luther King und schon davor) der irrt sich. Die Bösartigkeit eines solchen Systems und den darin agierenden bösen Personen aus miteinander venetzten Gruppierungen betrifft uns alle. Und alle eigenständigen denkenden Pop- Rock- und Rapstars sind mausetot. Denkt mal drüber nach.

Bild-und Tonqualität sind hervorragendEine faszinierende, aber leider viel zu kurze Lebensgeschichte. Der Darsteller (Demetrius Shipp Jr.) sieht Tupac so irre ähnlich, sodass man meint, Tupac war selbst vor der Kamera. Die Musik aus den 90ern ist auch echt Klasse.Es gibt reihenweise Theorien, wer Tupac erschossen hat. Im Film zeigt sich eine ganz neue Theorie. Vielleicht wurde der Fall deshalb nie richtig aufgeklärt. Wenn du den Film anschaust, merkt man relativ schnell, was ich meine.R.I.P. TUPAC
